Bab 27: Chapter 27: Don't Think of Driving Me Away, I Won't Leave! _1

Completely oblivious to the maids' schadenfreude, Ye Xingguang doesn't have a clue.

After a tiring day, all she wants to do is take a nice bath, wash her hair, and enjoy a good night's sleep. She has to get up early for work tomorrow after all.

Coming out of the bathroom, Ye Xingguang carries a glass downstairs, planning to pour herself a cup of water before bed.

Just as she reaches the ground floor, she hears a clattering sound from the dining room.

Curiosity piqued, she walks in to find Ye Junqing squatting next to the table, a broken water glass scattered at his feet, hot water everywhere.

He doesn't bother to clean up the shards of glass on the floor. Instead, his tall figure is hunched over, his face betraying a pained expression.

"Ye Junqing, are you alright?"

Under the light, the man's handsomely chiseled face is paler than paper, his eyebrows knitted in what seems to be silent suffering. Could he be sick?
