A simple statement hit him, but Henry Russell's thoughts were clear, and he immediately figured out the whole story.
"What does this have to do with me? It's all his own business."
Henry looked at Charlotte Cooper, who was like a little tiger. He instantly surrendered and began to explain innocently.
"I really had no idea Ethan did such outrageous things. If I had known, I would have brought him to you sooner and wouldn't have had dinner with him."
His overall attitude was just short of swearing to the sky. Ethan was stunned, as if he didn't know the Henry standing in front of him at all.
Charlotte held Susan Hawk's arm without speaking, still stubborn. Susan didn't say a word either.
Henry knew one thing in his heart - he had to clear himself no matter what, and in doing so, he didn't care about Ethan's feelings at all. It was as if Ethan was just a worthless decoration.
