Bab 141: Chapter 141: Surrendering Oneself

"It's simple, I just want you to spend a day with me."

As soon as Lucas finished speaking, Charlotte snapped, "In your dreams!"

Then a busy tone came from the phone on the other end.

"Such a feisty little kitten." Lucas sighed, seemingly exasperated.

But Charlotte unexpectedly hung up the phone without even bargaining, leaving him disappointed.

He quickly called back, and she picked up the call.

"What now?"

Lucas laughed, "Don't you want to know who the murderer is?"

"I do want to know who the murderer is, but I can't comply with your request, Mr. Carter." Charlotte replied coldly.

She thought about kicking him if he really expected her to spend a day with him.

"Even if I say one day is a bit long, you could at least haggle for something shorter, like an afternoon."

Charlotte said nothing with pursed lips.

"After all, this concerns whether you can clear your name. Don't you want to know the truth sooner?"

Charlotte was considering it.
