Bab 3: Kamikaze
A thunderstorm began forming in the skies. The clouds started forming a violent swirling circle. The centre was very chaotic as hundreds of lightning strikes flashed there. Then...it was silent.
*BOOM*
A huge explosion occured as a gold and blue serpent dragon came out of the eye of the circle, spiralling towards Michael. They shrunk their size and then surrounded Michael like a cloak. He was covered in a shower of gold and blue lighting though, he didn't show any signs of pain.
"Raikiri and Raikirin. Thank you for answering my call old friends."
The golden dragon Raikirin wrapped herself around Michael.
"See big brother? I told you it was Volkarin who called us."
The blue dragon Raikiri sighed. He looked at his sister and then looked at Michael.
"So the news of your death was true. I'm happy to see you alive old friend. The new face is better"
Michael looked at them both with a serious face.
"I'm afraid we don't have time to catch up. I need your help. I'm currently fighting against Kisarin and his combat power is comparable to those of the 11th Gate. I'm quite helpless against him."
Raikiri immediately understood the situation. They would have to catch up later.
"So what do you need us to do Volkarin?"
"I need time. I need you guys to buy me as much time as you can. Atleast five minutes."
Raikirin smiled at Michael.
"Okay but you owe me a favour after okay?"
Michael sighed
"Okay fine I promise you."
With that, the twins flew close to the void where Kisarin was sealed, returning back to their original size which was colossal. Kisarin finally broke out of the void and he was greeted by roars from the Twins of Destruction.
"H-how are you two here???"
The twins didn't waste time and started charging at Kisarin. He then started leaping back, unleashing chi blast attacks as he was doing his best to avoid their attacks. Meanwhile, Michael fell back to his knees again.
"Gaia where are you?"
Gaia appeared out of the earth again.
"You overused your chi again."
Michael laughed at how she quickly grasped the situation.
"Those two are divine beings. They're something mortals shouldn't even be able to summon at all. However due to our bond, I was able to call them forth. The only downside is I only have enough chi to summon about a third of their power and for only five minutes."
Gaia was shocked at this.
"Then HOW will you face Kisarin after?! By my guess, he can still last another thirty minutes or more before he cripples himself!"
Michael sat into a meditation position.
"That's where you come in. I need you to channel as much chi and life force as you can into me."
Gaia sat down behind Michael and began channelling energy into him.
"Are you going to attempt a breakthrough to the 9th Gate?"
Michael removed his bloody shirt and tossed it to the side. He breathed in.
"No. It's pointless to breakthrough. Nevermind the fact that I won't have enough time to stabilise my chi, I still wouldn't be able to last thirty minutes against him. The only option I have now is to use a gamble."
Gaia stood up and stepped back.
"It's done now."
Michael felt invigorated with power and vitality. He looked at her and then looked down.
"Thank you Lady Gaia."
Michael eyes turned red again with his pupils changing to the 4-point star. Gaia looked over at him casting super fast hand signs.
"The pupil technique Kaminome. I wish I had it to. If he was at the 10th Gate, it'd have far more use compared to now. Pupil techniques on a god are useless since Michael is still mortal. Even if it's at the 5th stage, the gap in power presents a problem."
As Michael was casting the hand signs, a faint golden aura appeared around him like a mist.
"Five minutes is almost up. I have to hurry up before they disappear."
Kisarin was getting pushed back as he suffered damage from their lightning attacks. Heavy damage attacks were being unleashed on him but he managed to evade most of them. Michael was done weaving the signs.
"DEITY ARTS: KAMIKAZE"
A burst of golden light was emitted from Michael as the ground beneath him cracked. His whole eye turned gold and his blue hair remained the same but it spiked up a bit more. His skin complexion had a shade of gold to it but it was barely noticeable. His combat power increased by X10 in exchange for one year of vitality every second however it does also effect his stamina by draining it since this isn't a skill suitable for mortal bodies. He had the option of increasing the ratio but he felt this was enough for now so currently, it is 1:10.
"Raikiri and Raikirin. Thank you for your help. You may leave now. I will personally come to your domain after I get strong enough."
With that, Michael cancelled the summoning and the twins disappeared. Kisarin looked at Michael and wiped the blood from his face and smirked. Michael remained expressionless. Before Kisarin could react, Michael had charged in and landed a gut punch. In that same movement, he landed a uppercut on his chin. As Kisarin was sent flying, Michael appeared behind him and landed a knee to the back. He then twisted himself and kicked Kisarin away. As he was sent flying upwards into the air, Michael charged up a lot of chi in his hand.
"BASUTOHA"
A massive wave of chi burst from Michael's hand. Kisarin managed to turn around in time and block it. Michael sighed.
"Like I thought. Chi based attacks are useless since they can't break his skin. Physical attacks are the way to go."
Michael took a stance. He stood sideways with his body turned to the right. He lowered his body in such a way that it looked like he was about to sprint. He balled his right fist and kept it close to his waist while his left hand was at face height.
"This stance should maximise my attack speed while protecting my vital organs."
Kisarin looked down at Michael. His hands were slightly burnt from the earlier chi wave. He laughed.
"HAHAHAHAHA. AS EXPECTED OF ELDEST BROTHER. TO POSSESS SUCH A STRANGE TECHNIQUE WHICH CAN MAKE YOUR POWER ALMOST RIVAL MINE IS SIMPLY AMAZING. BUT NOW, THIS IS THE END!!!!"
Kisarin lifted his hand into the sky and a very huge ball of chi formed. The barrier that Gaia erected began to crack under the huge concentration of chi in that ball. Michael panicked and wasted no time and began to rush at Kisarin.
"HAHAHA TAKE THI-"
Before Kisarin could finish his sentence, Michael had increased the ratio of vitality consumed in exchange for increase in strength. It was now 5:50. With a X50 increase in combat ability, there was a huge increase in his speed as he appeared in front of Kisarin and he pierced his hand into his stomach.
"BASUTOHA"
The chi wave exited through him, resulting in a giant flash being seen in the sky. Gaia's barrier completely shattered. Michael didn't stop right there. He knew if he gave Kisarin another second, he would heal like nothing ever happened and the giant hole in his gut never existed. He cupped his hands in front of him to charge up another attack.
"DOUBLE BASU- ARGH!!!"
Michael was a split second too late as Kisarin had moved his hands out of the way and gut punched him. Blood came out of Michael's mouth as Kisarin grabbed his head and started landing knee kicks to it. After a few hits, he elbowed him on the back of the neck and Michael was sent flying to the ground. A large crater was formed and he couldn't find it in his body to move as the backlash of increasing his Kamikaze by 50 happened.
"*Cough* damnit all. I underestimated the severity of the backlash"
Michael was helpless as he saw Kisarin charge up another huge ball of chi in his hand. He hurled a ball the size of a huge mountain at Michael. This could easily destroy the entire planet if it collided with Earth's core.
"Damn body! Move MOVE MOVE!!!"
It was pointless. No matter how much Michael shouted in his head, he couldn't move due to the backlash still continuing. His nerves weren't working at all since they were ruptured and they wouldn't be able to heal in time. Currently Kamikaze X10 is his limit but even the boosted healing can't heal him in time to stop Kisarin's ball of destruction. Debris began to rise up as the gravitational pull of the ball of chi began to affect the environment. Gaia was far away from the battle since the pressure they both exert could kill her if she got too close. Even if she was the Planet Mother, she was nothing in front of a god.
"I-I have to get close. I HAVE TOO!!!"
Gaia was moving closer to Michael in an attempt to heal him but as soon as she entered the pressure zone, she began to feel heavily suppressed as she fell to her knees, to the point that her soul was under threat.
"T-this is insane. I can't reach him at all. If I try I-I'll die...No. I must push on"
Gaia moved closer but her body began to crumble as her existence began to disappear. She tried to get close but when she came to, she realised she had walked out of the pressure zone. She had no idea but then she realised.
"He used his Kaminome to cast an illusion on me. I thought I was walking closer but instead I was walking further away. In the end, I'm still a burden to him."
As she said that, tears began to shed as the ball of chi neared closer to him.
"T-there's still hope. Maybe he has a plan. Yeah he has a plan. He always has a plan. He'll get away from it safely. I know Michael. He'll escape it perfectly and then kill Kisarin."
Her hopes diminished as the ball engulfed Michael completely, his energy signature disappearing completely.
"No no no no NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!"
Gaia fainted from shock.
