Bab 135: A mother's love

"I did not call you a whore!" Nicholas vehemently denied Becca's accusation. Maybe the questions he asked her pointed in that direction but that was not what he intended to happen. She was the one who was overthinking and reading unnecessary meaning into his statement. If he had known his words would cause this much trouble between them, he would have kept his mouth shut 

"Yeah, you didn't! I must have been mistaken then." She said sarcastically before she angrily pushed the car door opened and stepped out, making sure to slam the door hard behind her

"Dammit!" He swore out loud, closed his eyes, and leaned back in his seat to massage his temple. 

'What just happened? Did I truly call her a whore with the questions I asked her?..." He's unbelievably asked himself.
