Bab 128: In the process of getting the man

 'Was she offended by what I said? Nicholas thought to himself with surprise as he watched Becca walk away from him. 

'Or did I say something to her that I wasn't supposed to say?' He thought again, thinking back to the conversation they had in the car.

After searching his memory for a while and couldn't recall saying any hurtful words to her, he thought maybe his attitude somehow got her riled up and decided to go ask her himself. If he had indeed offended her in any way that he didn't realize then he was prepared to apologize and ask for forgiveness

He woke himself up from his thoughts and saw she had already disappeared through the door. He went in after her and came in just in time to see her disappear up the stairs and by the time he climbed up the stairs, her bedroom door had been tightly shut

He had to be at work. He checked his wristwatch then and saw he was already running late.

"Fuck!"
