Pepper stood in the kitchen and she stared at the blender like her eyes had magical powers to make the blender turn itself on and produce a glass of smoothie for her. It made her remember the last month of her first trimester.

She stared at her blender then too because she had no one to make a smoothie for her. She was without her partner…. without Asher Kean Knight. Who just happened to be an amazing man who loved her to hell and back though she would never admit it.

Why was she wishing that Asher had been there with her?

Then an idea came to her, he was here now, she could make him make up for lost time.

Was that crazy? Probably.

She sat down on the kitchen floor as she fought the urge to match upstairs and wake her husband up to tend to her cravings.

He's been stressed lately, and she wasn't blind to the fact that it was because of her. She can be difficult at times not that she would ever admit that.
