~Twenty four hours~       

It took Kate a little while before she and Eva were allowed to go in and meet with the American blonde, the jail president. Kate had never been so anxious in her life than now. The call she got was snappy and when she wanted to get more details the caller hung up. Like the speed of light, she ordered Eva to get dressed up and they drove down to the jail.

"You must be Kate," said the American blonde, and then his gaze came upon Eva.

Kate shook her head as her eyes flinted with nervousness.

"Who is she?" the American blonde asked, with his brow curled up.

Kate threw a snappy look at Eva, before she said, "She is my baby girl."

The American blonde fell back in the swivel chair and rolled within it, contemplated and said, "Can your baby girl give us some privacy. We need to talk."
