"We are proficient in Judo and Karate." Ayia replied.

"We also are capable of free-style fighting." Shizuka added.

The two girls were from the Yamada Family.

So, they were direct descendants of the founding clan.

And like the Japanese heritage in Theo's last life, the Judo and Karate fighting style came from the Yamato Clan on the Azure Star.

The term Judo translates as "the gentle way." It is a competitive martial art, with the goal of either throwing or taking an opponent to the ground, immobilizing him with a pin, or forcing him to submit with a hold. Striking blows are used only rarely.
