"Why don't you look at the CCTV footage of the mall?" Jack questioned in a calm tone.

The moment that his voice fell, there was silence in the area. At the same time, Ruben who was the smartest amongst the group began thinking about it.

The police officer began observing both parties. He wanted to detect if there was any person that was going to act in a guilty manner.

After some thought, Ruben came into a conclusion. All this while, Jack had not even attacked. And for that reason, if they went to look at the CCTV footage, they would find out that it was Eugene who made the first move.

At the same time, although it was true that Jack had held Eugene's hand, there was no proof that he was actually holding it tightly. And when he 'pushed' Eugene to the side, that could be easily interpreted as him being scared of the attack that was about to land on him.
