Bab 55: Spicy Cilor

Instead of taking me home or taking me to the Roulette headquarters, Paijo took me to a shop selling cilor and young coconut ice. It's not far from Roulette's headquarters, but why did he bring me here?

I sat on the plank bench and leaned against the big mango tree behind me.

Paijo sat next to me and stared at me intently. As much as possible I avoided meeting the man face to face, but Paijo shifted his seat so that I sat opposite him.

"You don't have anything to say to me?" asked Paijo in a low tone.

I nodded slowly.

"Nothing," I said quickly.

"Are you sure you don't have anything to say to me?"

"Nothing, what should I talk to you about? Do you ever have something you want to talk to me about?" I replied no less curtly.

The cilor seller just smiled at us, then returned to busy making our order of cilor.

"What did that mean?" Paijo glared at me.

"Where was that?"

"Are you with Haikal?!"
