Bab 99: Maid's fight

"Lady Martha just said that I am not needed there anymore. What's that supposed to mean? I have been serving the crown prince since my first day and all of a sudden, another girl is going to get my job," a blonde-haired girl with grey eyes started screaming.

"Maybe his highness got bored of seeing your face every day and now wants to see someone different," another girl said suppressing her laughs.

"It's nothing like this. The crown prince could never get tired of me. Have you seen my face? I am the prettiest girl in the palace," a hint of arrogance could be found in her words.

Pretty? that she was! She was indeed the prettiest from the servant's quarter but her actions were the opposite of her face.

"We all know that there's a lot of other girls prettier than you. You don't even have the status to meet with the dukes, let alone marry the crown prince. Big dream but don't cross your boundaries," the same girl from before chirped out.
