And with her last sentence, Mika choked from her own saliva and coughed. And then she cleared her throat.

Rayzel furrowed her brows when a memory suddenly appeared in her mind. She remembered when she called Mika once, when she was still in Italy…and she heard a man's voice in the background, calling her babe.

Are they together already that day then? She needs to ask. She needs to find out. There's no way Mika will get away with her interrogation. Rayzel might have allowed her to change the topic but not this time.
