Bab 87: A Friend

"Were you the one who did it?" Leslie asked accusingly. 

"What are you talking about?" He displayed confusion.

"What are you playing oblivious about? What do you think I can be talking about? It's obviously about you exposing everything online. You had to destroy my life, didn't you? What did I even do to you that bad?"

"What?" Damien showed disbelief before laughing bitterly and saying, "You are doubting me?"

However, Leslie ignored the pain in his tone and slapped his hand away. Then, her stare was fierce as she spat, "Why not? Arnold is in the prison, and you are the only other person who knows. You have a belly full of tricks. Who knows what type of games you are trying to play for the sake of your sick enjoyment?"

Damien's eyes darkened. Although he was on the verge of exploding, he reminded himself that he had to control himself. After all, Leslie was in distress, and he knew that her emotions were a mess. He should be understanding.
