Bab 62: The Situation

"Father," she enunciated.

"What is it that I am hearing about you and Lucian? How dare you create such a commotion?"

Days had passed since the incident, and the reason he brought it up now was due to how it blew up above the proportion. Everyone is now expecting an answer from both the parties, and Lucian made the situation worse with each passing day.

Her father cared about the reputation the most, and this was having a negative impact on it.

"Father, as you can see, Lucian and I are not compatible at all. Both of us decided to break off the engagement and go on separate paths. Mr. Gray agreed on with me about this, and nothing will happen to the business cooperation."

Valerie learned that the engagement was put in as a condition by Alicia. She understood why the woman wanted to do this, and she genuinely felt touched about her concern. However, the differences between Lucian and her was almost impossible to be settled.
