"Understandable," Ronan replied, then ordered Arielle to go back in with Irene as well as the maids and guards to set foot into Grandmother Bertha's residence.

Arielle looked back where the gate of the residence closed again, separating her and her husband. Ronan was still standing where he was. He turned to Irene who stood beside him, looking confused by the situation.

Arielle held the child's hand tighter and asked her to walk faster because she saw Irene's cheeks which were starting to turn red with puffs of fumes coming out of her mouth. The child breathing was a sign that Irene was already cold.

They only brought in a male apprentice priest which meant they couldn't help Irene here.
