Arielle immediately got up and ran to hug Otis. Sadness and relief jumbled up together. She was speechless. The things that happened to her were beyond comprehension. Who would have thought that she was still a descendant of Princess Cecil?

Now it all made sense. Arielle had almost the same power as Amadea and the Moon Goddess. Otis had Amadea's power to control flames as well, but he was not one of the chosen ones. The reason Arielle and Ronan could become mates was because she still had the blood of Cecil and Amadea's little daughter, while Ronan's body was bound by Amadea's curse. 

Arielle and Ronan were naturally bound by fate.
