After I finished my meeting with Rhie's dad, he instantly disappeared like a smoke in front of me. It just goes to show how different we are in terms of skills because I never felt his presence in the parlour the whole time.

"But still, you're quite lucky despite being an upstart."

"What do you mean?"

"Everyone knows about the Fvenai household, but nobody has seen the Head or any of the members except his daughter who chose to be a Knight."

While we continue to walk towards the harbour, for some reason, Linalyn is unusually quiet.

When I look at her, she's just been standing behind me while looking at me.

"Is there any problem?"

"No, ma'am."

Ma'am? Why is she talking to me formally?

"Weren't you calling me by name? Or was I imagining it?"

As we continue to walk, she puts her hand on her chest while lowering her head a bit.
