"What? Huanhuan is at your place? When did she come back? How come I didn't know?" Wen Chi heard this and lost his usual composure, firing off several questions at Shu Pan.

"Chi, don't worry, she came back around noon. I guess she came here first because you weren't at home. Why don't you come pick her up later?" Shu Pan soothed him, clearly aware that the young couple had had a spat.

It's better to let them talk it over face to face; otherwise, keeping it bottled up might affect their relationship.

"Alright, thank you, Shu Pan. I'll come to pick them up right now." Wen Chi hung up the phone, spoke briefly to Gao Jie and Song Ying, and left, mentioning he had urgent matters to attend to.

"Do you need help?" Gao Jie asked worriedly, seeing his anxious expression and not knowing what the emergency was.

"No need, thanks. I can handle it. I'll treat you next time; sorry about today." Wen Chi said before leaving.

"Could it be something serious?" Song Ying asked somewhat anxiously.
