Julian hadn't liked not being in contact with Izzy or the kids. It had been strangely uncomfortable considering how he had fled home the year he started his first doctorate since they were willing to pay him a stipend to study with them and continue his undergraduate research to get away from people. He had been alone ever since.
He used the term "home" loosely to refer to the Shea house. That place was as oppressive as a prison, if not more so.
He had thought he liked peace and solitude until he realized how quiet and empty his apartment felt after having it full of noise and other people. But Izzy had told him not to text her until the circuits were ready and he took her instruction seriously.
Being ignored by her in person was much more irritating than not being contacted by phone. He was already planning on talking to her when Roz got on his case but he certainly hadn't anticipated it ending up like this.
