"What?" Xue Yen immediately stood up with a look of horror.

"Calm down. It's not what you think. They brought food and clothing aid from the palace," Hao Chu said immediately when he saw the man's overreaction.

Instantly Xue Yen breathed a sigh of relief. "Oh, it's just a favor from the palace. I think…"

"Come on, don't overdo it like that. Do you think we will all escape our father? No, we don't, Xue Yen. You and we share the same fate," Yue Ahn said casually.

"We will all be punished if our families find out that we can't protect the crown prince," he added, fiddling with his fingernails.
