Bab 110: Eternals-3
All Eternals that were present inside the Ajak home were now sitting around a large table. This was their reunion lunch after such a long break. However, in the meeting, the air was tense and everyone knew Ajak wanted to speak something.
Ikaris, the one who knew the truth debated multiple times and he had no solution to prevent Ajak from spilling the secrets of their mission. He prayed to their master and spiritual God - Arishem but as usual, his prayers went unanswered.
"Everyone... We have been together for centuries. For centuries, we have watched and helped humans grow like our own kids and friends. However, sometimes we failed, sometimes we felt despair and we lost hope in our journey.
However, there is something about our mission, that I have kept secret from all of you. We are here to help humans grow in population and increase the volume of life force..."
Ajak was still speaking when Ikaris suddenly attacked her at close range with his laser eyes and almost killed her. However, he underestimated the power of Thena.
Thena quickly used Cosmic energy to create a shield and save Ajak's life but Ikaris who can fly refused to give up.
"Stop! Ikaris!" Sersi shouted.
"What is this madness?" Gilgamesh jumped in the air and covered Ajak from behind, protecting her and questioning Ikaris.
However, Ikaris still used his laser eyes to attack them without giving an explanation.
"Ikaris? What are you doing?" Sersi who has loved and married Ikaris in past cried in confusion. She also used her powers to make the sand on land create sand storms blinding Ikaris who was high up in the air.
Ikaris found he could not stop this meeting at all and in end, he simply flew away in despair. He could not bear the truth and he already knew his companion never believed in Arishem's plan as he did.
There is only one person who can help him and stop others and that is Druig. With his telepathy, as long as he can control Druig, he can put an army in front of other Eternals and prevent them from destroying Arishem's plan.
"What was that?" Gilgamesh asked Ajak.
"My failure and his choice!" Ajak replied before others pulled her up and she used her cosmic energy to heal herself.
"Please everyone I want you to sit down and hold your hands. Sprite whatever you see and hear, just project it for everyone." Ajak sat back in her chair without focusing on the attack that just happened to her.
For her, this is not important anymore.
"I hope everyone can make their own choice after knowing their own truth," Ajak said before everyone held their hands and Sprite used her cosmic power to create the images and kept speaking the conversation from Ajak's memories.
In the beginning, the Eternals were shocked to see Arishem's true body and his power but then when they learned the truth about themselves, and their true goal, they all fell silent. Everything could be summed up in four points:-
1. They are not from Olympia but they are cosmic robots created by Arishem. He is their creator.
2. They are not helping humanity to grow and evolve but preparing them to be sacrificed like lambs.
3. They have lived for eons and done the same thing over and over again.
4. Finally, their memories of past planets are kept in a safe by Arishem.
"Is this what is happening to Thena? This disease...Mahd Wy'ry...is this not simply her memories of past planet interfering over this one?" Gilgamesh spoke first and his priority is only Thena.
"Are we going to let Arishem destroy the whole planet?" Sersi asked with a trembling voice.
"Ajak, why? You kept all this information hidden till now, so why tell us now?" Sprite asked Ajak. The truth that she was programmed to be a child forever by Arishem simply broke her heart.
She always kept a small hope, that one day, one day, she will grow up but over the centuries that hope kept weakening. Now, she knew, she never even had the chance. They are robots programmed not to evolve.
"I remember. I remember the cries, the agony, and the pain of those blue people we helped last time. We cared for them like our babies and taught them everything they knew and in end, we watched from our Domo, when the planet was split apart by a newborn Celestial."
Thena, who was silent spoke making everyone unable to think clearly.
"Durig is in danger!" Cersei suddenly said out loud and everyone understood the meaning.
Ikaris has not given up on the 'emergence' and he needs Druig to create a human army to prevent them from doing anything.
"We must find him first before Ikaris," Ajak said and everyone nodded.
"I am booking my jet. We can leave as soon as we reach the hanger." Kingo said and everyone ran towards their cars. Soon their small fleet of vehicles ran towards the Expressway.

"Are you sure I can bring my babushka?," A worried 15-year-old boy, Vova asked the two strange people who came to invite him to their own safe place.
Vova grew up under the care of his Babushka (Grandmother) but his Babushka is getting old and her health is failing. These guys promise a safe place and promise to help her which moved Vova.
After all, no one ever cared for him. He was an outcast in the society. Without parents, without any connections or money, he lived with his babushka in wild. Now, someone offers him a helping hand and he really had no way to ignore such alluring promise.
"Fine. I will come with you. But if anything ever happens to my Babushka, I will show my Fury." Vova said and picked up his clothing bag and lifted his babushka in his arms and walked with the strangers inside their Quinjet.
