Bab 17: Chapter 17: Overbearing Seizure

After enjoying a moment of affection with her beloved granddaughter, Ma Xiulian asked Zhao Mei with an unprecedentedly friendly tone, "Eldest daughter-in-law, what do you feel like having tonight? Noodles or dumplings?"

Zhao Mei responded in a daze, "Either...either is fine."

Ma Xiulian then made the decision, "Let's have noodles then. There's still a bit of the meat your aunt brought back the other day left over. I'll make you a meaty noodle dish and add some green veggies."

"Alright."

Hit by the unexpected pleasant surprise, Zhao Mei was left dumbfounded until it was dinner time. Seeing the bowl of hot, meaty noodles in front of her, she finally snapped back to reality.
