Taking the Profits
After an hour, David was hiding among the bushes near a private air-strip. He had already set up a few cameras so that he can record the entire exchange.
He had told Harold to make the deal as he would normally do and leave with the arms. The only thing Harold had to do was install a GPS tracker in the suitcase.
'Hiding the tracker among the stacks of money could be troublesome if the supplier wishes to count it.' David was thinking when he saw two trucks come to the airstrip. After a few minutes. a white sedan approached the trucks and the supplier who David had seen with Harold at the bunker came out from it. David called Harold and told him to come as well.
Harold's car stopped near the white sedan. After talking for a few mins the supplier started showing Harold all the weapons and then Harold handed him 2 suitcases of money.
After 20 mins the arms were already loaded on the plane and the transaction was done. The supplier left and Harold was waiting for David near the plane. David came out from the bushes and approached Harold whose bodyguards became alert.
'If you guys were this alert the whole day he wouldn't have whipped me in my own bedroom' David cursed his bodyguards in his mind.
"No need to worry. He is someone who I hired to make sure there is no one following me until the deal is done. Good work...here is your payment." Harold said while pulling out a black pouch that had the receiver of the GPS trackers.
David took the pouch, nodded, and left to which Harold sighed and left on his plane.
'I have already recorded the entire deal on tape. I can use Harold in the future by using this as leverage. Now let's get our hands on the money and create a few problems for Giran' David thought with a grin on his face.
David tracked the suitcases to a warehouse near a port. After reaching the warehouse and some snooping around he found the supplier talking business. The suitcases were in the supplier's car.
'I can take the money without him noticing but I want him to know that I am hired by Giran. Let's play with the supplier for a while maybe I'll find a bigger fish. The warehouse has a few tanks filled with water let's use water control then' David thought as he entered the warehouse.
David sneaked inside the warehouse and saw two people sitting on the tanks. He raised the water in the tank and suddenly the long spikes of ice penetrated through their chests. The supplier and his people heard them scream.
"Who is it? What are you guys waiting for " The supplier screamed.
"Yess sir " A man with a lizard-like tale said and jumped on one of the ceiling beams of the warehouse to locate David.
" Over there. I can only see one intruder" he screamed while pointing towards David.
David brought all the water out from the tanks and rooted many people's legs in the water by turning it to ice and then created a long whip with an ice blade. He swung the whip towards the lizard man. The man tried to dodge but the beam he was standing on was cut. He tried to jump on another beam but the whip end had become water again and circled the man's long tail. David yanked the whip and the lizard man fell to the ground. Just as he was about to touch the water on the ground, ice spikes emerged from it and impaled his chest and legs but he was still alive.
" Tenacious one, aren't you? Haha... I'll leave your life to fate." David said while starting to attack the other guards.
'He is not one of them instead of capturing them and is also hiding his face means he is not a hero. He is here alone which means either he is hired muscle by my competitors or a vigilante' The supplier thought.
The supplier moved his head up and down activating his quirk and his hair flew towards David like needles. David created a wall of ice to block them. He created small spikes to penetrate the supplier's legs. The supplier's kneeled on the ground. David had frozen his hair in ice so he couldn't even use his quirk.
"Who are you? What do you want?" The supplier asked.
"What do people like us want? Information and money, it's that simple. Giran told me that you have both of them. So why don't you help me out a little bit?" David said walking towards the supplier.
'Giran that asshole. Fucking greedy piece of shit. But I have to think of a way to get out of here alive.' the supplier thought.
"How much money do you want? Just name your price. I'll give it to you today itself. Just leave me alive."
"Do you think I don't know about the money you got from your arms deal? I will make do with it for now. How about you give me information about where you got those arms from." David said while the supplier's eyes widened.
For a few seconds, he didn't say anything so David created a long ice spike in his hand.
"I'll tell you...I'll tell you everything" the supplier said.
After getting the source from where the weapons came David took the car keys from the supplier's jacket and went towards the car. He took the two suitcases filled with cash and looked back at the supplier.
The supplier along with his guards was trying to mend his wounds. David had injured most of the guards as he needed the supplier strong enough to go after Giran.
'It's already dinner time. I better go now. James will arrive home in an hour.' David thought as he left the scene.
After reaching home David hid the cash in his room and went to take a shower. After half an hour James came home and they both started having dinner.
"So, how did your day at school go? And who is your homeroom teacher? "
"It was good but the students in my class are too naive. Our homeroom teacher is Shota Aizawa and he looks like he hasn't slept for centuries. How is your Hero training at Nighteye agency going?"
"Oooo... you guys have Aizawa sensei. He is way stricter than the other staff members. My training is great but I am unable to win against Mirio. I can't even hit him. Nowadays, me and Mirio just patrol the streets. And your classmates aren't naive. You are far too mature that you even make me look like a kid" James said sighing.
