Clad in the softest set of nightwear she had ever worn, Linda leaned back on the luxurious sofa and sighed.

Jags brought her a mug of coffee and some biscuits.

"It is spiked," she warned.

Linda nodded gratefully. "How have you been?" she asked curiously. "And how did your husband manage to get himself kidnapped? I thought Vijay was paranoid about his security."

Jags smiled sadly. "I don't know. I think he was probably betrayed by someone he trusted. We'll have to ask Vijay – I am sure he would have found out all the details by the time Firdaus wakes up."

Linda stared at the wall. A pained look appeared on her pretty face. "How is he?"

"Vijay? Tired; he has just come back from Australia. He was a little...wary...of seeing you again," Jags told her.

"I can imagine. He has every reason to despise me." Linda sighed unhappily.

Jags closed her eyes and a tear made its way down her cheek. "I hope the two of you would get back together," she muttered.
