Bab 63: Chapter 63: Rebel leader
The day passed by quickly as Naruto, Sasuke, and Shino said their goodbye's to their family and friends, they and some Chunin later on would be sent over to fight against the Mizukage's forces, first Konoha wanted to know the situation better and what better way to get to know the situation than to send some of your stronger shinobi there? Jiraiya had already gathered quite a bit of information but that was not nearly enough for the Hokage to decide whether to fully join the war or not, so another one of the three's missions would be to gather information and report it through Shino's long-range insects that would always return to their birthplace, which, in this case, was Konoha.
For now, Naruto and his team would first meet with the leader of the rebels, Terumi Mei, and then return to the rebel headquarters together with her.
Another thing that Naruto had done was tell Guy, Shino, and Sasuke that he had unlocked a new form of the 8 gates, they were pretty shocked but he gave them a small lie about how the Uzumaki Scroll held knowledge about the 8 gates and how he used that in conjunction with Guy's notes to create the 8 Heavenly Gates, which he also gave to Guy so that he could start learning them, Shino and Sasuke were not yet strong enough to do so, as their bodies were not sturdy enough to take the 8 Heavenly Gate's energy output.
The three of them headed to the Hokage Tower as they had agreed to meet there early in the morning, the rebellion leader didn't have much time to stay in Konoha as even leaving for the 3 days that they had planned could prove fatal as admittedly the rebellion wasn't that strong, they could barely hold out against the Mizukage's forces so it was of utmost importance for them to hurry back to the Land of Water.
Naruto could sense that the Hokage was in his office with three other presences, two at the level of Jonin, and one at the level of a Kage, most likely Terumi Mei and two of her ninja.
Naruto knocked on the door and entered, he already noticed that the four in the office had already noticed their presence, well Sasuke's and Shino's so he entered without hesitation.
Naruto immediately noticed that all attention had gone to him, clearly, the three of them hadn't sensed him approach so they were immediately put on guard, especially since Naruto looked very intimidating, he was already 6 foot tall at 13 so he towered over everyone in the room and with Samehada secured on his back it only added to his intimidation factor.
Naruto realized what was going on so he sheepishly rubbed the back of his head "Ah, I apologize for that, I always hide my presence and chakra since most people can't take it, but it should be fine to release it here." As Naruto finished his sentence he turned off all his concealment skills, seals, and stopped controlling one of his parallel minds to focus on hiding his chakra and presence.
The room was immediately filled with an oppressive presence, Naruto's chakra by itself surpassed all of their chakra combined, if you added Samehada's chakra signature to it and the Kyuubi's signature it made for an incredibly oppressive chakra signature.
The horror on their faces was hilarious to Naruto.
"Ah, I apologize once more, it seems I was wrong." Naruto rubbed his head once again while smiling sheepishly.
The Hokage shook his head in exasperation, he had told Naruto to intimidate them a bit and to show off his strength but he had not expected Naruto to do it so directly, but it looked like it had worked as the two Jonin by Terumi's side were standing with their weapons out while Terumi herself seemed to be incredibly surprised, but it was noticeable that she was much more used to being in the presence of strong people.
Terumi coughed audibly and spoke, "I apologize on my subordinate's behalf, we did not mean to be put on guard by you so we apologize for that, I hope that our cooperation won't be spoiled by this mistake." while nodding at Naruto and the Hokage.
Hiruzen simply chuckled and waved her worry off, "Hahaha, Terumi-san, you shouldn't worry about such small things, Naruto is used to having this effect on people, I also hope that our cooperation won't be hurt by this, now, these three are the three that will be sent with you for now, in the future we will send more forces to your side but for now, they are all we can spare, I would like you to meet Uzumaki Naruto, Uchiha Sasuke, and Aburame Shino, all three of them are Jonin level shinobi that have completed many missions, now Naruto, Sasuke, Shino, I would like you to meet, the leader of the Rebel Forces, Terumi Mei, and her two assistants, Chojuro and Ao, they will be your superiors while you are in the Land of Water so I hope the three of you can behave." Hiruzen said as he gave Naruto a pointed stare.
Naruto chuckled a bit and looked at the three ninjas standing in front of him, "Well it is nice to meet you guys, I am Uzumaki Naruto, Jinchuriki of the Ninetails, and The Tailed Beast of Konoha, I hope that we will be able to help you guys win the war." Naruto said with a smile.
Sasuke nodded at the three of them and introduced himself as well "It is indeed nice to meet the three of you, I am Uchiha Sasuke, and I hope for a successful cooperation."
Shino simply stared at them "I am Aburame Shino, nice to meet you." And returned to taking care of the insects he hosted in his body.
Naruto deadpanned at Shino but decided to let his lackluster introduction go.
Terumi nodded back at the three of them and introduced herself "It is nice to meet the three of you, I am Terumi Mei the leader of the Rebellion, I also hope that you will be able to help us." She finished with a nod to the three of them.
Then the man with the eyepatch went next, "I am Ao, the personal assistant of Lady Terumi, it is nice to meet the three of you." he similarly finished with a nod to the three of them.
Now all attention turned to Chojuro, "A-ah, it is nice meeting the three of you, I am Chojuro a student of Terumi-sama, I hope we can get along." He finished with a small and respectful bow.
Hiruzen nodded, "Well then, I do not see a reason to hold you any longer, we have discussed everything that we wanted to so if you feel ready you may leave, I wish you well on your journey back and I hope that we can end this war as soon as possible.
Terumi nodded at Hiruzen, "Indeed Hokage-sama, I hope so too, we thank you for your help and hospitality, if it is alright we will immediately leave, I wish to be back by tomorrow, I can't afford to leave my troops alone for too long." Terumi bowed respectfully to Hiruzen and then turned around to leave, Ao, Chojuro, Naruto, Sasuke, and Shino following after her.
They had a long journey ahead of them so they left immediately.

The updates are rlly slow rn because my school is a bitch and they give us a bunch of exams, homework and assignments right before summer vacation starts, only 2 more weeks left though which means updates should start becoming more frequent soon, just way too fkin busy atm, I really hate physics and maths, I suck at it.

Washuru To the people worrying abt the heavenly gates permanently taking chakra away: you shouldn't be, its like using any other jutsu so Naruto can always just regain the chakra he loses.
