The more I interacted with Audrey and Clive, the more I began to understand Forsythia Brown. I always felt that a mother capable of raising such children couldn't possibly be someone heartless enough to hurt others. I thought, perhaps, there was some unspeakable reason behind it all.

My aunt spoke of someone named 'Bright Hawkins' and how he blackmailed my mother, demanding that she help him get close to my father, creating opportunities for her to facilitate his approach.

Years ago, Forsythia was incarcerated for two major crimes. One was the kidnapping of my mother, and the other was orchestrating a car accident that injured my so-called grandparents.

However, from what my aunt revealed, I knew clearly that the mastermind behind the car accident wasn't Forsythia but the seemingly grievously injured mother of mine.
