Lu Yizhou's heart skipped a few beats, and it was certainly not due to fear. He propped himself up by one elbow as Ellie climbed up the bed, yet before he could say anything, his arm was suddenly stripped of strength, causing him to flop back to the bed.

No — it was not only his arm, but his entire body. Numbness crawled up every inch of his skin, paralyzing him. He felt as though every single bone in his body was turning into liquid and he could only lay there on the bed, helpless and pliant. Even speaking was proven to be difficult. His words were kinda slurred when he forced out, "W–hat have you done…?"
