Bab 82: Apologize

Daphne was just about to lift her leg up when suddenly, she heard a familiar voice come from behind Calindra.

"What are you doing?"

Calindra was just about to bring the knife down but when she heard the voice, her entire body froze immediately as her hand shook and the knife dropped onto the ground. Seeing this, Daphne pulled her hand back immediately as Calindra's grip had loosened. 

If she had moved her hand a second slower, the blade of the knife would have grazed past her skin, but luckily, it did not. 

When he saw the knife, Lucifer's expression immediately darkened as he narrowed his eyes, stretching his long legs forward as he used only three steps to reach Daphne and pull her towards him, protecting her behind him.
