Bab 117: Extra: Kiyomori [Part 2/4]

After Kiyomori had taken Izu to Tsunemori's to get treated, he started making house calls to her courtyard whenever he had time.

He stared at her closely, "Have you been taking your medication?"

She scoffed, "Yes, mother."

"Hmm." He casually strolled to the window and unlatched it.

She panicked, "Wait! Don't open that!!!"

He paused, "Why not?"

"It's… It's cold outside. I will get a chill."

He smiled, "Fresh air is good for healing."

"What? What kind of stupid idiot would- WAIT!"

He pushed open the window and looked to the ground outside. He hummed, "Odd. I seem to recall you having many beautiful plants by the window… For some reason, they all look like they are covered in a strange substance."

Her expression went pale, "T-Thats… Well… Um…"

He faced her with a smile that didn't reach his eyes, "It's almost as if someone was putting their medicine on the plants instead of in their stomachs."
