"Bullshit." Xasha cut her off. "You.. you don't know who you are dealing with. These people will give a foot before giving up their treasures. You must have hypnotized them somehow."

Ari burst out laughing. Her father was too much. Xasha paid her no mind it was already bad enough. If he heard anymore, he might really lose his temper. He changed the topic. "I only see one gate here. Where is the other one located?"

"It is at the manufacturing facility on the other side of the city. It is a day's journey from here, but with this." She gestured toward the gate. "We can get there instantly while also testing the gate's capabilities. We do not know how many times can be used before it needs repair and replacement." 

"How many times has this one been used?" Xasha inquired with interest. 

"Close to two thousand. We haven't had it that long. We hope a gate can handle a hundred thousand or a million activations before it needs repair."
