Isabel Smith hung up Elijah Smith's phone call, entered the elevator, and went upstairs without returning to her own apartment, but directly knocked on the door of Percy Stanton's apartment.

The door was opened by an hourly worker nanny hired by Percy Stanton, who recognized Isabel Smith and handed her a pair of slippers.

As Isabel was changing shoes, she asked, "Where are Percy and Raymond?"

"Mr. Stanton has taken Raymond to the supermarket downstairs to buy fireworks," the hourly worker nanny kindly answered Isabel's question and poured her a glass of water, inviting Isabel to make herself at home while she went to the kitchen to cook.
