Konrad took another sip of wine and placed it down on the table. "Well, as you already know, the Santen house is a very powerful house. It has royal ancestry, from the Germanic people, hundreds of years before the Germanic states started existing.

After a few agreements with the church, we were officialized as a powerful house of dukes, with the only agreement of changing its name to "Santen,", for some petty reason," he said.

Lukas nodded his head. "What was the name of this family before that?" he asked.
