"How do I craft the antidote using the Anaconda's venom? And where do I get the Generic Anti Venom Potion? Do you sell it in the shop?" Elliot pressed the AI with his questions.

[You can craft the antidote by mastering the [Potion Crafting] skill to the fifth level. The [Potion Crafting] skill will be available at level 25. The Generic Anti Venom Potion is available for purchase in the shop starting level 12.]

"WHAT?! I am only level 10!!" Elliot shouted. "You must be kidding me! How on earth can I gain the two levels I need before he dies?! He won't last much longer!"

[Tame the Black Bear Lord, and you will gain 5000 XP. You will grow to level 14.]

"Ah. I didn't expect you to answer that rhetorical question. But good job answering it!" Elliot said.

"Ellie's gramps, I-"

"I am YOUR MAJESTY for you, puny human- UGH…." Brock the Black Bear Lord groaned and vomited a steaming blob of black blood.

"Fine, fine. YOUR MAJESTY. I have a method to save you from the poison. But I need time to grow strong enough to use that method. In the meantime, I can suppress the poison in your body if you sign a contract with me. Would you like that? You don't have much time until the poison takes you." Elliot said quickly.

"Hahhhh. Hahhhhhhhhh." Brock rasped heavily. "It seems- Hahhhh. I do not have a choice. Fine. I will sign a contract - UGHH!"

Immediately, the mind space solidified and shrank into a corner of Elliot's mind, right next to Ellie and Rex.

[Black Bear Lord successfully tamed.]

"Yes!!!" Elliot shouted excitedly. "YESSS!!! I got a BEAR KING!! WOOHOOO!!!!"

However, the Bear Lord wasn't looking too good. It was barely even breathing.

Black blood was already flowing out of its would. The anaconda's poison was extremely deadly and extremely fast acting. And judging by just how fast such a massive beast was dying, the anaconda probably pumped out several liters of poison into his body.

If nothing was done, it would definitely succumb to the anaconda's poison and die within one minute.

"Hawk! Open up the shop for me!"

"Get me the Generic Anti Venom Potion! Quick!" Elliot cried out.

[Generic Anti Venom Potion purchased for 10 points.]

A grey mist swirled on top of Elliot's outstretched hand and a small glass vial appeared in his hand.

[Please pour the contents of the vial onto the wound.]

Elliot immediately did as instructed. A crystal clear drop of liquid trickled down the vial and entered Brock's body.

For a minute, nothing happened. Brock even stopped breathing.

But just as Elliot was about to freak out, Brock suddenly took a deep, shuddering breath.

"Pheeeeewwwwwwwww." Elliot sighed with great relief.

The anti venom worked.

"Uhhh. For a minute I thought I had died…" Brock groaned in pain.

"I think you really died there for a minute." Elliot laughed weakly as he sat back on the ground.

After the low of luring such a powerful beast, and the high of realizing that Ellie knew said beast, and the deep, deep terror at seeing the anaconda, and the thrill of watching the two giant beasts fight, and the panic of thinking Brock might die, and the joy of gaining him as a tamed beast, Elliot was an emotional mess.

If we add the fact that he had a really low emotional health score to begin with, it was a miracle that Elliot was still sane.

(Emotional health: 0.4 AI Comment: Love tank almost empty. Sicker than the average human being. Let's not even mention the monkey to avoid host's emotional health from dropping further.)

For a few minutes, Elliot sat there silently, sorting out his thoughts and feelings. Brock laid there also and allowed the anti-venom to fully work its magic on his body.

"Thank you, puny human child. It might have taken an utterly shameful and unthinkable happening such as being your tamed beast for my life to be saved, but saved it truly is. And for that, you have my gratitude." Brock said solemnly.

Elliot looked up at him and smiled. "You are welcome, Your Majesty. Being able to save you is a privilege. You are, afterall, Ellie's grandfather, and you saved us all from the anaconda. And having you as my tamed beast is a true honor. I will be depending heavily on you for the rest of my life, however long or short it is."

Brock smiled a ferocious smile and said, "For you, my little master, you may call me Brock. And with me around, unless another such beast appears, your life is completely safe."

Elliot smiled sadly at him.

"Sadly, starting tomorrow morning, there would be many "such beasts" to deal with. Enemies from far beyond our world are arriving, and they will be bringing with them countless powerful beasts. I am afraid that even you would have trouble dealing with them."

"If what you say is true, then we must prepare ourselves and increase our strength. How many giant beasts are you able to tame, puny human child?" Brock asked with a gleam of excitement in his eyes.
