Bab 89: Ivy and Peony (1)

Poddie helped Big sister Roselia by carrying the two Mana beads recovered from the bandits' corpses. They should have 3, but one Brain bead had been absolutely damaged after the bandit burned himself to death, so they couldn't recover his Mana bead.

"Pii!" Poddie put the Mana beads inside his pea pod bag while Big sister Roselia was busy chopping the corpse into pieces before planting them deep into the soil to make the soil even more fertile than before. She threw the charred corpse into the river because they had no use for it.

"Pii?"

"Ah, indeed, Poddie, we need a lot of fresh corpses inside the soil, so it will be more fertile. It will also help Master Yang Zhang since he wants to be a farmer, right? That means he needs fertile soil for everything to grow."

"But please, keep this a secret for a while, okay?"

"Pii?" Poddie tilted his head as he didn't know why he had to hide the fact that Big sister Roselia was trying to help Master Yang Zhang.
