Bab 20: Chapter 20 - The exam part 2
As Gil and Tash made it to the arena they both know what to start with.
"Basic goblin, please" Tash said.
There plan was to work there way up through the monsters to there limit, as of now there had been 2 Goblin Champions summoned. One was defeated after it went through 3 of the 4 students and the other had to be stopped by a teacher.
A gate opened and 10 goblins came out. When the Goblin where summon there where normal 8-12 that came out.
"Alright Tash, as planed each split and attack the ones that come to us." Gil called moving to the left and Tash to the right. 6 Goblins went after Gil and 4 after Tash, Gil was happy about this as he wanted to face more.
[Battle mode activated]
This was the first time this message had come and Gil was excited.
Focusing on the first goblin that came, Gil unsheathed his sword slicing the goblin mid air in the stomach, bringing the blade back down blocking the attack of the next goblin.

As the goblin struck Gils sword to stumbled back, and three new goblins jumped at Gil.

A fire needle shot straight as the middle goblin, as Gil performed a wing slash killing the two remaining in the air.

The two goblins had their throat cut killing them instantly and each falling to the left and right of Gil. Now having 3 goblins left Gil looked round trying to identify where why each where, The one what Gil had blocked with his sword was coming into attack and the one the system had shot down was getting back to his feet. Gil know that 6 goblins had come to him and counting the 3 he killed there was one missing, without thinking Gil darted to the right and a split second later an angry goblin with his small dagger aimed where Gils heart was flew by.

Ignoring the screen, Gil now knew where each goblin was. Firing of an earth needle against the goblin tumbling on the ground, Gil sidestepped the goblin charging in. Kicking this goblin on the chest Gil put a lot of power into it sending the Goblin flying into the air, bringing down the sword Gil sent a air slash into the sky cutting the Goblins leg of.
Charging into the remaining two goblins, he focused on where the weak points on the points og the goblin.
The closest one had only a small helmet on exposing his neck, stomach and arms. The one a bit further away had more armour on it to had a helmet on but also had a chest plate on. Knowing that he could quickly take care of the first one by aiming at his neck he thought of a way to deal with the next one.
"Earth blast followed by earth needles" Was the solution Gil though.
Bringing down his sword across the goblin with only a helmet on he managed to cut from the left shoulder to the middle of the goblin.

Rising his empty hand Gil fired a large earth blast and then a large earth needle immediately after. When the earth blast hit the goblin it dented the chest plat the Goblin was wearing, when the earth needle struck the Goblin it pierced the chest plat after the earth blast caused a dent. The Goblin being a mind lest beast didn't know how damaged it was pulled the needle out and charged at Gil.
Before the Goblin could reach Gil he sent a compressed ball of fire at it. The compressed attack was one Gil made by trying to change the shape of a normal blast to a smaller projectile. As the fire ball made contact with the goblin it engulfed the goblin with fire.

The Goblin fell down still on fire.
"Crap" Turning round, Gil realised he hadnt got any message about killing the Goblin who's limbs was cut of. Looking on the floor there was a trail of blood as the goblin crawled to Gil not able to stand to charge, walking up to it Gil pushed his sword through the poor goblins head.

Walking over to Tash who had already finished killing her Goblins, they each looked over at the others battle field. Tash's one was more compact having the goblins killed them in a sort of line attacking there feets first either freezing them or breaking there legs.
"Geez looks like the goblins never stood a chance" Tash thought looking at Gils side. There was blood pools in multiple spots and limbs lying over the place. Gil seemed to have some blood in e hear that stood out due to the silver air he had.
"Your not heart right" Gil immediately asked.
"Im good, what about you" Tash replied.
"Do you want to face the next one, or are you happy with leaving it like this." The blond woman asked.
"Move on the next please"
"Same strategy Si?" Tash called
"Yeah" Gil called each running in different direction.
What emerged wasn't like the other Hobgoblins that appeared. This one came out on all fours, even though it was on its hands and knees, it looked like it would be around 3 meters tall if it stood up.
"Be careful this is a mutated beast, if you want we can kill it and bring a new one through" The blond women called,
Gil looked at Tash looking eyes they both came to the same agreement.
"This one is fine" Tash called out.
[Mutated Hobgoblin - It is more powerful then the typical hobgoblin, this particular hobgoblin excels in speed]
Seeing that this was the only monster that emerged both Gil and Tash had a plan for this, when its back was turned they would focus on one specific area.
The hobgoblin ran straight to Tash and then pushed of the ground closing the last bit of distance on his two feet. Tash started to fire of ice daggers at the opened stomach of the monster, When this was happening Gil picked the back of his left knee to focus on attacking. Gil used water needles as this paired with Tash's powers had frozen the water when training together.
As the Goblin closed the distance to Tash it brought its huge arms down to crush Tash, Gil raised his hand as fast as he could and willed the earth up.

"Thanks Si" Tash called, "Thank god he reacted quicker then me" she scolded her self.
Having closed the distance Gil clashed he left knee of the Hobgoblin.
"AHHHHH" a ear splitting growl came from the goblin turning and swinging his huge hand at Gil.
[-50 health]
Having blocked the fist with his sword Gil was pushed back skidding against the ground. Having the Hob gobin now focused and coming at him Gil fired some water blasts at it.
"LEFT KNEE!!!" Gil yelled at Tash
Tash fired some ices daggers at that spot and suddenly it fell as it couldnt use that leg anymore.
"That should last for 30 second" Gil thought charging at the goblin, sending outs wind slashes whilst closing the distance.
"Go for the kill, or disarm" Gil was pondering this when he choose the latter, sending fire needles into the monsters eyes blinding it, as the fire needle burnt its face it released a much larger growl.
"TASH ITS EYES ARE GONE" Gil Yelled over the screams of the monster.
Stepping in close Gil slashed and cut the beast whilst Tash fired ice daggers from a distance. Dodging flailing arms from the blinded beast Gil aimed at the ligaments in the arm, hoping to disable the only weapon it had left. Finally connecting and cutting the ligaments in the right arm the hob goblin had no more option and died quickly after.

"That was fantastic"
"That was quicker then some people spent on normal Hob goblins"
"Only Silver got hit, and that was mostly blocked with his sword"
This was what everyone in the stands where talking about and even some of the teachers where impressed by the team work between them.
"Si are you okay" Tash came running over as soon as the monster fell. "He was to busy saving me to defend him self and got hit, i need to get better" Was all she could think after seeing him get hit.
Gil had realised it had taken a long time to raise just one level compared to how quickly he reached level 10, he hoped to reach level 25 before the inter school tournament in 5 months but wasnt so sure.
"Do you wish to challenge the goblin champion" The blond woman called.
"Tash, what do you think im up to it if you are" Gil said looking at Tash.
"Im a bit tired but should be fine, how about you did that strike hurt you, are you sure you can."
Gil checked this health and saw it was 392/450 his mana and stamina where 3/4 full and was confident in killing the champion before it ran out.
"Im good thanks, ill go first and attack whilst you get a rest" Gil said.
Tash was about to protest when the gate opened. From within the gate a sound emerged.
"Ahhh day light, at last"
"Sarah, only goblin paladins and higher can talk a champion shouldnt be able. You didnt open the wrong portal again" An instructor yelled to the blond girl names Sarah.
"Gil and Natasha, this is a Goblin Paladin or higher do you wish to continue" Sarah called before the the Goblin emerged.
"Yes!" Gil called out. "I have enough stamina and mana for one fight the stronger to opponent the better" he though.
"Tash ill fight for as long as i can whilst you rest, then join in!" Gil yelled.
"Is Silver mad, that is a Paladin and hes facing it by himself. I reckon 1 minute before the teacher stops it" Joe called out
"I think 30 seconds" Will offered
Soon the students where placing bets on how long before Gil was beat.
