Yvette Foster hastily asked, "How is it? Is his situation grave?"

"He's been a living dead; he just suddenly weakened, Elder Taylor could only stabilize him for now, but no one knows how long he could last," Adam turned to Chloe, saying, "By the way, we went to the Godfrey Family to give gifts two days ago and asked for their intentions. Austin Godfrey thinks highly of you! His parents are very open-minded too; when they found out it's you, they're very willing to have you as their daughter-in-law..."

Yvette Foster slapped Adam and desperately gave him a hint with her eyes.

Adam was stunned and didn't catch the hint.

Seeing him continue, Yvette Foster pinched him hard.

Coming to his senses, Adam saw his daughter's slight frown and dared not continue.
