After John was done with looking around he decided to do some meditation. After he meditated for about 2 hours, he went to sleep.
While sleeping he had a dream where he was the strongest Pokémon trainer and had trained his Pokémon to the highest degree through certain methods. Every night since his birth, he had these dream and each night was a different Pokémon.

The morning
-------------------------------------------------------
After walking up at 6 and meditating for 30 minutes, John started to get ready to go outside the walls. He packed a flashlight, raincoat, Pokéblocks, food, water, spare sets of clothes and medical equipment.
After he finished packing and eating something, he then walked towards the Pokémon League Headquarters. After arriving there he walked straight to the receptionist.
"Ah hello, my name is John Liezel. My instructor told me to be here at 7am."
"Ah yes, there is a note about that right here. It says that you are going outside the walls to capture your own Pokémon?"
"Yes. They didn't have anymore Pokémon left after the tests and I also didn't want to have to wait 4 months to get my starter Pokémon."
"Ok. If you wait over on the seats to your right, ill tell the trainer who will guide you that you are here."
About 5 minutes later a trainer walked in the doors and walked towards the reception desk.
"Hello, how may I help you today?"
"Ah yes I was here to escort John Liezel outside the walls to catch his starter Pokémon."
"Ah yes, he is just over there waiting" she said while pointing at John.
"Thankyou" said the trainer.
As soon as he started walking towards John, John looked and noticed someone was walking towards him. He had sort cut dark green hair, no noticeable facial hair, blue eyes and didn't look to have much muscle.
"Hello, ae you John Liezel?" said the man.
"Yes I am. Are you the trainer that is taking me outside the walls?"
"Yes. Instructor Robbert has told me about you and said that we be doing this"
"Ok, so what time should we leave?"
"How about and hour?. then we can get some breakfast and then leave."
"Sure lets do that."
After they agreed on that they both got up and had breakfast. After about an hour, they then met up at the front of the Pokémon League headquarters.
"So lets get going then" said the trainer.
"Yes lets go."

15 minutes later
---------------
After about 15 minutes of constant walking, we reached the city gate. The city gate was around 4 meters tall and 3 meters across. It was designed this way to let in all of the vehicles that come into the city but keep out all the taller and bigger Pokémon.
As soon as they got to the gate, the guards asked for ID and the Trainer pulled out a pass. The pass had John's and his face on it. This pass was required to be able to leave the city if you are not a Pokémon trainer.
Everyone who leaves the city must have a pass with their face on it and the trainer who is taking them out. If a non-trainer is going outside the city, they are required to have at least a bronze stage trainer with them.
After the trainer showed them the pass, the guards let them go straight outside the gate. When John saw the outside of the wall at ground level he paused. He was so shocked. Even though he was able to see it from on to of the wall 4 years ago, seeing it at ground level is completely different.
There where chopped down trees everywhere for 3 kilometres. This is to be able to see most Pokémon coming towards the city. There were a few decomposing corpses of Pokémon. From what John could see, there were Graveler's, Butterfree, a few Beedrill and some Fearow.
The corpses were just there. No one bothered to collect there materials due to the risk factor. The bodies were at different levels of decomposition, some where barley decomposing while some looked like they had been there for months.
As soon as John walked outside he could smell something rotting in the air. Think of the worst thing you have smelt, then multiply it by 10. That is what it smelt like. As outside the walls has basically been a battleground for many years, there has almost been no break to the bloodshed.
As the walls as hundreds of years old, they have many deep scratches and dints from previous Pokémon tides. A Pokémon tide is when 50 or more Pokémon form a herd and attack the city.
When you step outside the gate, the ground is soggy and has bright green grass, showing that it has benefited from the war. 'What is this' That is the first thought that came to mind when John walked outside the gate.
He turned towards the trainer to his side and saw that he was unfazed by the smell and sight.
"Alright, where do you want to go to get your Pokémon. There is a forest west from us, plains straight ahead and mountains to the east. So which one will you go to?"
