Bab 1: 01: The Prophecy

"She would find the guy who will be destined to her uniquely. She was destined with a guy who will get her first dance," the Fortune-teller said while caressing the little hands of Cassidy.

A little laugh suddenly echoed inside the room where they are gathered. They looked at the little boy beside a woman who was covering his mouth to hold on to his laughter.

"Liam. Keep quiet. You're disturbing Madam Lesly's session," his mother scolded him as she told the Fortune-teller not to mind them.

"It sounds ridiculous for me, Mom. Why would she tell that to her? Cassidy was just nine years old," his mouth twitched as he complains to his mother. The woman just covers his mouth to stop him from speaking.

On the other hand, Cassidy looks nervous as what she heard from Madam Lesly. She holds into her mother's arm and looks at her with such worriedness. Her mother hugged her and caressed her hair while saying something that could ease her feelings.

"It's fine, my dear. That is not something you have to worry about."

"But Momma...what if the one who will get my first dance is not the guy that I like?" she said in her little voice.

The Fortune-teller, including her Momma and Liam's Mom, laughed at her statement. Both she and Liam look at the three women with curiosity. She couldn't understand which part of what she had said was funny. Old people's sense of humor was really hard to understand for nine years old like her. But even at her young age, she liked to know more about love. She always sees her parents being in love with each other every day and she would like to experience being loved by someone.

Her Momma was very fond of the prophecy of Madam Lesly. In fact, because of her prophecy, her Momma and Daddy had met each other. That is what she heard from the stories of her Momma. She wants to try if it is true so she didn't hesitate when she told her that they will be going to Madam Lesly's house to receive a prophecy.

"Your daughter wants to have a sweet romance when she grows up just like her mother," Madam Lesly said while giggling. She shuffled the tarot cards to continue her session.

After the session, they bid their goodbye to the Fortune-teller and went straight to their home. While on their way, Cassidy can't stop thinking about the prophecy that she received from Madam Lesly. It feels like destiny wants to ruin her dream love story. She wanted it to be something like her parent's love story. It seems to be ridiculous that she would uniquely meet her soulmate, like what it said in the prophecy.

"Hey!" A hand poking her at the back sent her out from her reverie. She looked back just to see Liam smirking at her in the backseat. "Are you sulking? Don't worry. No one will dare to have your dance. It was scary to be ended up with someone like you," Liam teased her.

"Stop teasing Cassidy, Liam. I will tell your Dad to get the PSP from you," his mother warned him. He immediately closed his mouth, fearing that his Mom will do what she had said.

She turned around and kneeled on her seat while resting her arm on the backrest. Her eyes land on Liam that was beside his mother. The side of her lips rise as she was staring at him.

"Why you didn't ask a prophecy from Madam Lesly? Are you scared?" she asked playfully. She was swaying her feet as she waits for his answer.

"I don't believe in prophecy," he replied shortly.

The car stopped in front of their house. She hurriedly open the door and went out of the car. She runs faster through their house when she saw her Daddy waiting for them at the door. Her daddy open his arms widely to hug her and lift her to the ground. She giggled because he started to tickle her on her waist.

"I can't breathe, Daddy. Stop!" she pleaded. She holds his face and looked straight into his eyes. "I received a prophecy from Madam Lesly!" she happily said while smashing her Daddy's cheeks.

"Really? What it is?"

She smiled and put her fingers on her cute lips. "It's a secret, Daddy."

Her Momma approached them and kissed her Daddy's cheek. Liam and his mother had already gone inside their house. It was just next to their house. They were been a neighbor even she has not been born yet. There were just a few kids who were living in their subdivision so she doesn't have a choice but to be friends with Liam.

As soon as they went inside their house, she immediately run to her room to write in her diary. She was doing it since she was seven years old. She likes to write down what happened to her every day. She wants to write in her diary the prophecy that she got from the Fortune-teller. She had to remember it because it has something to do with her love life if she reaches puberty. She had to plan everything so that she won't end up being destined to someone she doesn't like.

"To make it successful I should not let anyone or any boys have a dance with me. Right, Wooly?" She looked at her stuff toy koala who was silently sitting on her bed and smiling at her.

She closed her diary and hide it in her drawer because climbing up on her bed. She was busy playing with Wooly when she heard something hitting on her room's window. She slowly walked towards it and open it to see who was throwing on her window. She looked down and see Liam in their backyards, holding a handful of pebbles in his hand. He throws again a pebble at her, fortunately, she was able to avoid hitting it.

"Oppss. Sorry!" he shouted. "Come down here. Let's have a dance," he said, teasing her about the prophecy.

Cassidy gives him a deadly glare then picks up the pebble that went inside her room and throws it towards Liam. "Could you please leave me alone? I will tell Auntie Thea to punish you!" she shouts back and closes the window. She could still hear his laugh outside but she didn't mind him.

She would never let any of them have her first dance. By this day, she promised to be careful not to forget about the prophecy or else she will be ended up with someone her heart would never agree to beat for.

Bab 2: 02: Cassidy's list of Perfect Guy

Winter is coming and the cold breeze of air touches on my skin. I was sitting in the shade of a tree far away from the students that were roaming around the Beverly Hills Academy together with their friends.

Unlike other students, I didn't dare to make friends here. I distant myself from them because of the prophecy four years ago. I know people will make fun of me if they know that I believe in prophecy but it's no harm if I do. My parents were living proof that prophecies are real.

A girl was rushing in the hallway when she suddenly tripped on her foot and drop all of the things she was holding on the ground. No one in the hallway tried to help her except for one guy. It was Bruce, one of their Student Academy Officers, who help her pick up her things. I smiled when I saw that he offer to accompany her on her way. I open my book and add his name to my list of the perfect guy.

I have been doing this since I reached 7th grade. I was observing all the guys here which is perfect to deserve my first dance. And Bruce was not an exemption for that. He wasn't just a kind guy and also a responsible student officer in their academy and he was on the fifth guy on her list.

I nearly shouted when someone grab her book in my hand. I stood up and my mouth gape when I saw that it was Liam who grab my book from me.

"Hey! Give me back my book, will you!" I shouted and tried to reach my book from him.

He runs away from me so that he could take a chance to peek at my book. "What was this?" he asked and showed me all the names that I wrote. My eyes rolled because I grabbed it from him.

"List of the perfect guy," he said under his breath. "Are you still believing in Madam Lesly's prophecy? I told you that was fake."

I mocked what he said and hit him with my book. "You're degrading Madam Lesly's prophecy. If Momma heard this, I'll make sure to tell your mom to ground you," I warned him.

"Okay, fine. Real if it is real." He raised his both hands as he surrender at my warning. "But I somehow hurt when I didn't see my name on the list. Am I not a perfect guy?" He acted like he was in pain and grabbed the right part of his chest while making fake sobs.

I can't help but roll my eyes at him. I did mention that I don't make friends here but unluckily I can't escape this one. He was the only guy that can get close to me. How can I not be with him if he was just one meter away from my residency?

"You are far away from a perfect guy, Liam. Remember...you have just dumped an innocent girl who was just expressing her affection for you right in front of my face," I said in detail while tilting my head left to right.

"O' please, Cass. It's better than playing her feelings," he explained but not enough to convince me.

I tossed my bag at him and he immediately caught it with both hands. I started to walk and I feel him walk behind my back. This is always the scenario between us. Liam will fetch me at my favorite spot and will take my things until we reached our house. We've been used to this kind of setup since my parents and his mother liked to see us together. As if I like to be with this annoying high schoolboy.

We're on our way out of the academy but the screams and squeals, while we're walking in the hallway almost, broke my eardrums. I had to close my fist just to stop myself from yelling at the girls who were going insane over Liam. Well... I can't blame them. Liam has a charm that can make girls go crazy for him to even at a young age. I can't deny that he has a handsome face and taller height He seems to like the attention that he gets from them but not me since I need to walk with him every after our class.

"I'm not still enough to get on the list?" he asked, putting a small distance from both of us so that he could whisper on my ears.

It didn't get out of my sight the sharp stares of the girls when they saw him almost leaned his face over my shoulder. I pushed his face away from me and get my bag at him.

"No, because you're giving me lots of death stares from your fangirls. So I suggest that you should put a long, long-distance from me to give me a long, long life," I said while making a long line with my hands and moving my hands to tell him not to stick with me. I raised my hand and pointed it to his fangirls. "You can now have him, girls. First-come first-serve basis. Just don't bite him."

I slowly walk backward and like a cue, all the girls run towards him and me, walking out on the scene so that I will not be involved in the chaos. I could hear Liam screaming my name while he was crowded by his fans. I was busy making fun of him when I suddenly bumped into someone's body at my back. I closed my eyes and wait for my body to land on the ground when a pair of arms suddenly stopped me from falling. I slowly opened my eyes and I was holding my breath when a handsome guy appeared in my sight.

"Are you okay?" he asked, looking at me with such worry.

I couldn't open my mouth to speak a word and just nodded at him. My eyes were still on him while he's helping me to stand up. He also fixes my bag before he walks away from me.

"Wait!" I shouted. He stops and looks back at me. "What's your name?" I asked.

His eyebrow met while looking at me, wondering. "I'm Franco," he answered.

I smiled at him and waved my hand. "Nice meeting you, Franco and thank you," I gladly said before turning my back at him. I get my book and pen inside my bag and start writing his name on the list. He was nice and handsome too. I guess he deserved to be on the list. So he was officially the sixth guy on the list.

"Hey! That's unfair. Are you putting that guy's name on the list?" I heard Liam say so I immediately put back my things in my bag and look at him.

"Oh? Are they done with you?" I asked innocently like I didn't do something.

He mocked what I say and make face at me. I laughed when I saw some kiss mark on his cheeks which made by his fangirls. He likes the attention earlier but now he looked like he has been massacred by thousands of gorillas and he can't smile anymore. He grabbed my bag and hang it on his shoulder.

"Don't tell me you put his name on the list."

"Then I won't tell you," I said and walk faster to tease him.
