Bab 61: Secret Ability of the Mink Tribe
The beast sniffed the air and turned its neck to Alubarna before snarling and disappearing as a cloud of sand dust exploded behind it. It tore the sands with its claws as it charged towards the city, smelling the blood in the air, its wild eyes swiveling chaotically without any reasoning left in them.
~Inside the city~
All-Sunday was laying on the ground next to Luffy, who was sitting next to her. She had just been saved by him, resigned to die in the royal tomb. Luffy grinned at her and she looked disinterested and dazed, he was about to say something when the roar hit.

The crew were sitting down, resting after their tough battles. Nami smiled and looked at Crocodile's unconscious body as she said "Only thing left to do is find Thirteen." White hopped around them and demonstrated a few kicks, showing how strong he was. He slipped and shivered on the ground when the roar echoed in the city, alarming the crew.

A woman with glasses was cuffing Crocodile as Smoker walked over, saying "Bring him to the brig, Tashigi." Tashigi nodded and dragged Crocodile away as the rest of the marines searched the city for the other criminals.
Smoker clicked his tongue as he glanced at the crew on the side before shaking as he heard the roar echo.

All three parties turned to the direction of the sound and heard a small explosion along with soft bangs that were getting louder and louder.
Luffy looked at All-Sunday, who chuckled at him. He nodded and left her there, running towards the sound.
The crew got up and Nami muttered "Sounds like Thirteen…" Zoro rolled his eyes and said "How could it possibly sound like Thirteen?" Sanji commented "That was a tiger roar so…" Zoro couldn't say anything to that.
Usopp gulped and said "We're not going there are we? Don't tell me we are. I have no energy left to run for my life…" Chopper flailed his arms and said "It must be! Who else could roar so powerfully!?"
The rest looked at him for a second before turning back towards the sound. Zoro clicked his tongue and said "Fuck it, let's go." Before running towards the sound, the rest followed him, some more reluctant and scared than others…
As they were going, Smoker watched them before looking at a group of marines and jerking his head as he flew after the crew, his lower body turning to smoke. The marines shivered and ran after him, seemed like the battle wasn't over?
Luffy stood on the wall of the city as the crew climbed up to meet him. He was already looking out to the desert, while the rest turned to look. Nami covered her mouth in shock and mumbled "What is that?!"
Zoro chuckled and put his hand on his hilts, Sanji smirked and lit up a cigarette, Chopper morphed into his humanized self, White jumped on top of him, and Usopp swayed before falling off the wall backwards.
He was brought back up as Smoker landed on the wall, holding Usopp in his hand as he said "You dropped something." looking at Luffy. None of the crew answered him and he frowned before turning to the direction they were facing in. His eyes widened and his cigar fell to the floor as he said "What the fuck."
The group of the marines flooded the wall and pointed their guns at the crew, standing in front of an arch to the desert. One of the marines looked at the desert before looking back up. He froze and looked back to the desert, shaking in fear as he stammered "W-W-W-What is that?!"
The rest of the marines looked and their eyes widened.
The giant beast got close enough to the wall and suddenly lunged. Chains rattled as they flapped behind it, making the beast look like an ancient demon sealed in the desert.
Its arm doubled in size and bulged as the beast reeled its arm back and threw a punch at the wall.
Luffy, the crew, and Smoker jumped off the wall to a building rooftop, they were slightly off to the side as the beast smashed through the wall and obliterated the marine group that was there.
He landed in the carnage, stood on its hind legs, swung its chains to its sides and roared in the sky.
More marines funneled in and acted as a bandaid on a broken dam.
Completely useless.
The beast charged through the marines and swiped its claws, tearing marines in half and swatting the ones who survived into buildings. The buildings exploded along with the bodies, dying the area completely red.
Luffy and the crew grew serious as Usopp had his eyes wide open, hanging in Smoker's hand. Smoker was just completely stunned and couldn't react, he got a transmission from Tashigi and heard her voice say "Smoker-san?! What's going on!"
Smoker didn't respond and she said "I'm coming over!" Smoker blinked and came back to his senses before shouting "Don't you dare! Stay at the ship! That's an order lieutenant!" then he turned to Luffy and said angrily "What is this, Strawhat!?"
Luffy said seriously "I don't know."
Smoker shut his mouth and looked at the beast rampaging, before Tashigi said "Sir. We have a problem…" Smoker frowned and said "What?" Tashigi said anxiously "Crocodile… He…" Smoker shouted "HE WHAT?!"
Then the group heard a voice "I escaped."
They turned to see Crocodile walking to the edge of the building, looking down at the beast. Luffy looked at him before turning to the beast. Smoker stuck his Jutte at Crocodile and said "Get back, Scumbag."
Crocodile turned to him and grinned "You'll need my help…" he raised his cuffed hands and added "I give Alubarna about 30 minutes before it becomes a wasteland." he pointed his finger at the beast and chuckled "You asked what that was? It's called Sulong."
Smoker frowned and Sanji said "Sulong?" Crocodile glared at him and said "Mr. Prince." Sanji grinned and gave him the finger, replying "Greyskin, nice to meet you." Crocodile clicked his tongue and sneered at him before turning to the beast and saying "This is a Mink's secret ability, though it was only legend when I heard about it."
Nami rolled her eyes and said "What do you know? A dumb warlord who got caught." Crocodile laughed and said "Do you know how long I was a Warlord for? My bounty is far outdated… Where do you think I got this scar? Cutting sandwiches? You disgusting little sea hippies were sperm when I was anointed. Tch!"
Nami spat her tongue at him and ignored him, Smoker looked at Thirteen and narrowed his eyes, saying "What do you want." Crocodile tapped his cuffs on the Jutte saying "Let me go."
Smoker growled "So you can run? Fat chance." Crocodile shrugged and stepped back saying "Handle it on your own I suppose. I don't know about you, but Strawhat alone is not enough."
Zoro chuckled and licked his lips saying "Good thing he isn't, eh?" before jumping off the building with a crazy smile. Luffy grinned widely and jumped after him, Sanji turned around to Crocodile and smirked "See you, Dickhead. Thanks for ordering~" as he gave Crocodile the finger and walked off the building backwards.
Chopper pulled out 2 rumble balls and bit one before putting the other one between his teeth as he jumped off. Smoker said, "Watch the bastard." before following the group with Usopp in hand, who screamed "I'M A SNIPER NOT A CLOSE COMBAT FIGHTER! LET ME GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
Leaving Nami on the roof with Crocodile, the 80 million beli bounty criminal Warlord who almost killed Luffy twice. She turned to him and smiled "Oh wow, look at that aha." Crocodile glanced at her blankly and she started sweating "Wanna play cards? Aha, please don't hurt me."
Crocodile chuckled and was surrounded by Pell, another guy who looked like a dog, Tashigi, and around 10 marines. He looked around and then at Nami, saying "Sure. I have time."
