Bab 53: True Friendship
The ship was sailing when Luffy fished up a person!
The guy landed on the deck, coughing out water. Thirteen looked over and noticed the man was wearing makeup. He also had a pink coat that had swans on it, underneath he was wearing a ballerina costume.
The rest stopped and looked at him, with White jumping to Thirteen's shoulder and grabbing his hair, tilting his head at the man, imitating Thirteen.
The man stood up and coughed, saying "Thank you for saving me!" Luffy grinned and said "No problem! You can't swim can you?" the man nodded and smiled "Indeed! Swan Swan. I ate a Devil Fruit! I will remember this kindness for the rest of my life!"
Usopp looked at the man and said "Ah? Which one?" the man smiled and said "I suppose we have time before my ship arrives. I'll put on a show!" then he slapped Luffy flying with his right hand.
Zoro, Thirteen, and Sanji moved to attack, while the man jumped and waved his hands in front of him, shouting "Wait! Wait! Wait! I said I was putting on a show! Look!"
The three looked at him and gawked, he had Luffy's face and voice! Not only that but his body was the same too! Luffy jumped up and shouted "WOAAAAAAAAAH!" The man grinned and said "See? When I touch my face with my left hand, I go back to normal!"
Then he demonstrated and added "This is the ability of the Copy Copy fruit!" Sanji backed off as the man touched everyone else's face.
Thirteen moved his neck and Vivi hid behind him as the man's hand passed in front of them. Only Sanji, Thirteen, White, and Vivi didn't get touched. The man pouted and said "Come on, Cat friend! It doesn't hurt!"
Thirteen pushed his hand away at the wrist and the man twirled away, saying "Fineeeee~" before stopping and slapping himself, changing between the crew's faces. Then he stopped on Nami and said "I can even change my body!" as he opened his shirt.
Sanji's nose spurted blood and he flew through the kitchen doors, disappearing. Thirteen looked at the man's… or rather Nami's breasts, before comparing them to Marie's.
Nami's were bigger.
As Thirteen thought about it, White was confused, Chopper, Usopp, and Luffy were stunned completely, Vivi was still hiding, Nami punched the man in the head, and Zoro pointed at her as he burst out laughing.
Luffy, Usopp, and Chopper went to the man and said "Are you okay?" the man stood up and said with a light chuckle "I'm sorry to say but I probably shouldn't show more than that." Luffy and the other two pouted and cheered "Come on! You can do it! Do more!"
The man twirled and said "Alrighty~!" before changing faces, Vivi watched and gasped at one of the faces. Luffy, Usopp, and Chopper clapped and cheered.
Nami walked over to Thirteen, who looked at her. He saw behind her, Zoro's head was shoved into a barrel. He turned to her and she smiled "What you thinking about?" Thirteen blinked at her and noticed a vein throbbing on her head, he said blankly "Nothing." she smiled and nodded before walking into the kitchen.
Thirteen's ear twitched and he heard Sanji getting beat up before Nami walked back out.
Suddenly, the man stopped and reverted back, saying "That's my ship." as he jumped to the railing of the Merry. The group turned to look at him and only saw his back.
The man said with his back turned "It looks like it's time for us to part." as his cape waved in the wind. Luffy, Usopp, and Chopper teared up and said "No! Don't leave!" "Please stay!" "Yeah, stay!"
The man started shaking and he said "Don't be sad! Journeys and partings go hand in hand." he turned his head to the side, eyeing the crew with one eye as he continued "But, remember this… To true friendship…"
He swiped a tear from his eye with his thumb as he gave them a thumbs up and added "How long you've known each other means nothing!" before jumping to his ship, doing a frontflip in the air as he went.
Luffy, Usopp, and Chopper cried, shouting "We'll never forget you!"
Vivi looked out and said "That's Mr. 2!" The crew paused and Luffy said "He wasn't so bad." Nami stretched his cheek and shouted "Now he has all our faces!" Sanji walked out with bruises all over his face as he added "That's a problem…"
Nami grabbed a marker and said "I have an idea. Everyone come here." The group gathered around her and she drew 'X's on everyone's left forearm before wrapping bandages over them as she said "He wouldn't possibly know what's under them, so when you see each other if we get separated show your X and we'll know that it's us."
Even White and Caroo got an X.
Thirteen looked at his bandage and then looked at Nami before rattling his chains. Her lips twitched as she replied "They could fake the chains." He put his arms down and walked away, dragging Chopper with him.
Zoro and Sanji looked at each other and followed after him as Luffy ran back to the head of the Merry, and Usopp started working on something, leaving Nami and Vivi standing there with Caroo.
Nami sighed and laid in a chair, going back to sunbathing. Vivi pouted and sat next to Nami, doing the same while Caroo laid out on the deck and went to sleep.
The Merry continued on her way to Alabasta as Thirteen thought of what the man had said before he left. He looked around at everyone before going back to his training, his mind thinking about unrelated things.
