Bab 203: Chapter 175: A cry for help, and a call for help. 2012 CE

It was dark. The black emptiness of space gave this sense of helplessness to anyone who saw it, as if they were trapped in an everlasting void that could only slowly chip away their sanity.

Pluto was standing on one. There was no sound, no movement, no colour, only darkness. He was used to this however, the amount of times he dreamt something like this is almost uncountable, but the difference is, now, there are no constructs to accompany him, only his lone self.

He walked forward, curious about what will happen to him in this place. He was not scared, only curious, maybe that old man will appear again? Maybe he has unlocked something in himself that he didn't discover for millenia, but alas, those thoughts were forgotten when he saw someone, chained in the middle of the void, butt naked.

Pluto walked towards the man that was chained. He stood in front of him, the man was looking below towards the blackness of the void, as if he was giving up on life. Pluto then looked at the chains, it was some sort of construct, a yellow construct.

Pluto then grabbed the head of the man, and forced him to look at him. When he saw the face, he finally recognised who it was. Loki.

"U-Uncle…" he stuttered weakly. "S-Save me… I-I've made a mistake…"

"What did you do?" Pluto frowned.

"I- I've made a deal with the devil…" Loki said weakly. "I've made a deal… with your kind…"

"Thanos?" Pluto questioned again.

"Please… Save me uncle…" Loki murmured once again. "I- I will be forever in your debt…"

"O' Sweet child of mine…" Pluto muttered. "What happened to you?"

"The sceptre…" Loki spoke. "He speaks to me… he took control of me… whispering… to bring him to his brothers and sisters…"

"Where are you right now?" Pluto asked.

"I do not know uncle… but I am on Midgard…" said Loki, getting weaker and weaker. "I can only maintain this spell for so long… I beg of you… please help me…"

"Well, just be patient." said Pluto casually as he patted Loki's shoulder. "Someone will help you either way."

"W-What?"

"I said just be patient." Pluto repeated. "Anyway, you can release the spell now."

Loki looked at Pluto with a bit of disbelief, then stuttered. "I-I'll be waiting, uncle…"

Loki then disappeared into green dust, and Pluto's eyes opened, waking up from the dream. He looked around, and saw that Thena was snuggling beside him, he couldn't feel his right arm as Thena was using it for pillow, snoring away.

He sighed, he stared at the dark ceiling above, and contemplated what he would do.

"Are you alright?" Thena suddenly spoke.

Pluto turned, to see Thena had woken up. "Sorry if I wake you up."

"Can't never sleep too deeply, warrior's habit." she said, sitting up from the bed. Pluto meanwhile, hopped out of bed, and he poured himself a whiskey while looking outside the window, towards the dark sky of New York.

Pluto drank the whiskey, and leaned on the table near the window. "I think we should take Helios on early leave this year, and bring him to the mansion."

"But summer vacation's still around a month away?" Thena questioned.

"Something's about to happen." said Pluto, looking at the sky outside. "The chaos at the Expo is one thing, this one's different."

"What about Gwen? He said he wants to bring her to train right?"

Pluto chuckled. "You really think George's going to allow that?"

Thena shook her head in amusement. "No, not really…" She then stood up, and walked towards Pluto to also grab a drink. "Can't you just deal with the problem?"

Pluto shook his head. "It's not about us anymore, remember?" Pluto said. "If we continue to protect humanity, when will they be independent? When we leave this world, who will protect them?"

"Our sons and daughters?" Thena stated. "The sorcerers?"

"Not enough." Pluto drank his whiskey again. "They need to be aware of the threats from outside their planets, not just organisations, but the whole public. If I deal with it before it even starts, when will they wake up from their false sense of security? From their delusion of superiority?"

Thena sighed. "True…"

"I already told Fury that I'll help them if there's a threat beyond their capabilities," said Pluto. "But right now, it's not beyond their capability."

Suddenly, a sound of ringing could be heard from a desk nearby. It was the sound of an old phone ringtone. Pluto opened the desk, revealing a nokia phone that he kept all this time.

"Speak of the devil…" Pluto murmured.

"You're gonna pick it up?" Thena questioned.

Pluto shrugged. "Why the hell not?"

Pluto then picked up the phone, only to hear a lot of background noise from the phone call.

"So you called," said Pluto calmly.

"Mr. Smith…" Fury spoke calmly. "There's been a situation… a grave situation…"

"Is it the tesseract?" Pluto questioned softly, surprising Fury. "You played with a dangerous object, Fury, this problem is coming one way or another."

"We need your help, Mr. Smith."

"No." Pluto answered, making Fury clenched the Nokia phone he held tightly. "This is not beyond your capability, you still have more ways to solve this rather than asking me for help, I'm your worst case scenario, remember? Reactivate the Avengers initiative Fury, you know you have to do it."

Fury sighed. "You know a lot of things, Mr. Smith…"

"I'll send my boys to you." Pluto continued. "But they're not your men, they'll act independently."

"We need to have a commanding voice. It'll destroy the chain of command if we let your 'boys' run free."

"It's not a request, Director," said Pluto.

"One of your 'boys' is a king, Mr. Smith, I cannot make him act, as he does not have jurisdiction over the United States."

Pluto frowned. "I thought I told you to not spy on my family, director."

"It comes with the job, Mr. Smith, nothing personal." said Fury. "I'm sorry, but I cannot let you have them act independently."

"I'll send a representative to SHIELD so you can communicate with them, but they will still act independently." said Pluto calmly. "I don't care about the jurisdiction director, you can arrest them if you want, but I doubt you can do that…"

Pluto then hung up the phone, leaving a frustrated Fury at the other end of the phone call.

"Well, New York's going to get messy from now on." said Pluto as he grabbed another device, this time, it was a simple smartphone. He turned it on, and there was only one thing displayed on the screen, it was a red button.

Pluto pressed it, a fingerprint then appeared, Pluto pressed his left thumb on the scanner, and it confirmed the identity of him.

The phone then beeped for a few seconds, before the screen turned black. And out of that black screen, appeared a symbol.

The Unseen Ones symbol.

Bab 204: Chapter 176: The Gathering of Sons and Daughters. 2012 CE

A/N: this is just reaction and tells how the Apostles are doing in normal life, you can skip if you want

[New Orleans, Louisiana]

Jeanne was sitting in a small diner with a little girl in front of her, eating pancakes rather quickly. She was reading some files on some kids that lived around the area, as if she was searching for a specific kid.

"He was… lying beside you right? When you pass out?" Jeanne questioned the little girl, Tandy.

Tandy hummed as she chewed on the pancakes. "I think he took my ballet shoes… I left it there…"

"Didn't you say you're attracted to him or something?" Jeanne questioned. "Can you feel him now?"

Tandy shook her head, her blonde hair moving along with it. "No, I can't feel anything…"

Jeanne sighed. "This is not going to work… I need to ask Anna for this…"

"Oh? We're meeting Auntie Anna again?" Tandy asked curiously.

"Well, there's no other choice… we're finding a needle in a haystack if it continues like this…"

"Well okay…" Tandy murmured, finished her pancake, and she wiped her mouth with a tissue. Both of them then stood up, paid for the food, and got out of the diner. As soon as they got out, they could hear the jazzy music of New Orleans across the street, where a cafe opened.

They walked through the pavement, Tandy was holding Jeanne's arm tightly, to not get separated. "Let's pick up your mom first in the salon, after that, we'll fly to Zimera."

Tandy just hummed, and both of them entered a salon, where Tandy's mother was enjoying some time alone.

"Melissa, we need to go," said Jeanne.

"Already?" Melissa said curiously. "Did you find him?"

Jeanne shook her head. "We need to talk to Anna about this."

"Well okay." she said, closing her magazine that she was reading. She stood up, and walked towards Tandy, before grabbing her hand tightly.

When they were about to go out, Jeanne's phone suddenly rang. She was weirded out, because she thought that she had told Cleo not to give her any mission for a while, but now, the mission phone rang.

But, when she saw that it was a different kind of call, she smiled widely. "Finally…"

"What?" Tandy said, trying to look at the phone.

Jeanne looked at the mother and daughter. "Sorry, I think I have to delay the search for a little while."

"Why?" Tandy said, looking a bit disappointed.

"Father finally called." said Jeanne, showing the Unseen Ones symbol flashing in her phone to the two. "Something big is happening."

Jeanne then took out her bag, and gave it to the mother, making her confused. "It's money, take it as vacation here, just be careful with it."

Melissa's eyes widened. "All of it?"

Jeanne hummed. "Passports, ids, even weapons are in there, so be careful."

"You're entrusting me with all this?"

"Well, we're not going to lose track of you." Jeanne chuckled. "So don't do anything stupid. I'll go now, you can find a hotel nearby, maybe even continue the search if you can."

"Okay, be careful Jeanne."

Jeanne hummed, she then turned to a small alleyway, before being swallowed by a blue square that suddenly appeared on top of her head.

[Oxford University, UK]

A man was currently giving a lecture rather casually in a big classroom inside the university. He was wearing glasses, with a thick book on his hand. He was teaching history to the class, and they were discussing the gods of the Hellenic religion.

This man was of course Michel de Nostradamus, an apostle of Pluto. He was showing pictures of drawings depicting the gods using his projector that was connected to his laptop.

"So, who can tell me about Hades's role in the society back then?" He questioned the class.

A woman then raised her hand, and Michel pointed at her. "Yes, Miss Watson?"

"Hades, meaning 'the Unseen One', also called Plouton, meaning 'The Wealth-Giver', is the god of the underworld. He rules over the underworld, wealth, and darkness. He is the caretaker of souls, not the reaper of souls, but the caretaker, keeping them from returning to the land of the living."

"Good, ten points for Gryffindor Miss Watson." joked Michel, making the other students also laugh. "I am joking, please don't get offended by it…"

"None taken Professor…" Watson also giggled.

Michel then clicks his mouse, and the slide moves. "Hades is an anomaly… for us modern society. Unlike Christianity, who often depicts the devil as well… evil… Hades is not like that."

Michel then stood up, walking around the classroom casually. "To the Hellenic society, Hades is seen as a form of natural order, everyone was scared of death, and so they respected him. People rarely talk about him, and he was rarely depicted in murals, hence, the name 'Unseen One', because people do not like to stare at death."

Michel then looked at the students in front of him, and continued. "Unlike Zeus, who is famous for his lust, Hades is the opposite of him. He is kind, nurturing, and a caretaker. As you might've heard from the story of Troy, Hades decimated the damned city because they kidnapped his daughter."

Another student raised his hand.

"Mr. Whitman?" Michel said.

"You said that Hades is the opposite of Zeus, which must mean that he isn't lustful." Whitman stated. "And yet he had a human daughter… How does that work professor?"

Michel chuckled. "Well, the term 'adoption' isn't a strange word to gods, Mr. Whitman." he said, making the whole class chuckle.

Another student raised her hand, it was Watson again.

"Yes, Miss Watson?"

"Is that supposed to happen, professor?" she questioned, pointing at the projector.

Michel turned around, and he saw the symbol of the Unseen Ones flashing at his slides. Michel raised his eyebrow, and then he smiled.

"Alright class, if you know what symbol this is, I will dismiss the class right now."

A man raised his hand. "Hades's symbol?"

"Good work Mr. Braddock." Michel said with a smile. "Alright, class is dismissed, I will see you all tomorrow."

The entire classroom then quickly got out of the class, Michel quickly tidied up his things, before disappearing from the class entirely.

[Roma, Italia]

In the middle of the old city, a woman was being photographed extensively. She had many poses, and she looked like a professional model.

This woman was of course Anna Komnene, one of Pluto's apostle.

She had lived as a model these past few years, enjoying the luxurious life once again. She had longed for freedom, to be able to do anything she wanted when she was a princess, and now, she had the ability to do just that.

"Miss Anna, show your side profile a little bit more." said the photographer, and Anna did just that.

The flashes of the camera kept going, photographing Anna with the old city background. But all of a sudden, her assistant came up, whispering something to the photographer.

"Okay Miss Anna, I think that's it for today." he said calmly.

Anna was confused. "Why? Is there something wrong?"

Her assistant walked towards her, and showed her phones, the symbol of the Unseen Ones flashing repeatedly.

She smiled at her assistant, who was also a member of the Unseen Ones.

"Very well, thank you for today Mr. Strand."

Strand quickly packs up his equipment, and Anna and her assistant walk to their transportation, before disappearing altogether.

[Tokyo, Shibuya]

A man was speeding through the streets of Shibuya using his decked up car, racing with other cars that was behind him, trying to catch up with him. Suddenly, the police appeared, and they chased the cars, including the man's car.

This man was of course Sasaki Kojirou, one of Pluto's apostle.

"Why now?" Kojirou clicked his tongue, and he drifted along a u turn to lose the police. His car was fast, really fast, and he could probably lose the police in about five minutes.

But then, his phone rang.

"What now!" he said, drifting through a turn. He took his phone, and saw the Unseen Ones symbol flashing. He smiled, and quickly turned to a small alleyway. As he entered the alleyway, he along with his car disappeared entirely, making the police confused as hell.
