Bab 539: Pinnacle of Hunters

Thunder rumbled in the distance, sending tremours through the forest in rhythmic succession as though the clouds were having a concert of dread.

On a normal day, anything that heard this sound would be hiding and taking cover. This was no normal day. Logic itself had been turned up on itself. The cause of the lightning was not the sky and the heavy tremors that went through the ground weren't caused by an earthquake either.

A pair of human figures shot through the woods at blindingly impossible speeds. Their figures could barely be seen blurring through the woods like wisps trying to beat the speed of light.

All around the dirting figures, a horde of dirty grey wolves with matted fur fled in all directions in the hope of avoiding the hungry blades of the enraged wisps.

Howls of pain and growls of anger echoed through the forest only to meet the cold singing of ruthless and vengeful steel laced with lethal wolfsbane.
