Bab 28: 27. Two Lives At Stake.

"Ellieanna... We are sorry," They said in unison deliberately called by her full name.

This way, Ellie glare at their faces and burst into tears.

Naya turns to Nurret who still knelt and watch aghast, her voice hush commands toward her, "Nurret, take the food to Queen Mother, say to her I haven't woken up and the food is already cold. Tell her it'd better prepare a table for me at her chamber that that's the only way I can be happy once I wake up."

Nurret nods, she couldn't defend but obey.

"Yes, My Lady!"

Ellieanna on her side could not suppress her outburst, she cry in regret to have kept what she was battling within from her friends and now that everything went out of her control, she returned to them without having a solution.

Nick and Naya stood with arms folded, they both stares at her in silence. After a while, Naya took the initiation of approaching her first, she squelched beside her patting on her lap, and brought out a white handkerchief,

"Take this and clean your tears, we left you for some moments, we are sorry about it but we knew you're not crying because we went outside."

Ellie gently take the handkerchief from her, she sneeze into it twice while Naya stood up to pat her shoulder,

"At times crying a little helps your fatigue but it is ok now... We are here with you and we will listen to you... Just stop crying,"

Nick moves to her other side, looking at her disdained face, he feels awful, her makeup is already ruined, "Ellieanna, please say to us everything, we can't stand you crying this way."

Ellie burst out as she replies, her hands rough the handkerchief as she fiddle it, "I'm being sold to him even before I was born as a child!"

Both of them could not grab Ellie, they were trying to process her response as it seemed her nostrils were blocked and her words were not clear enough to them, however, they scream aloud when they got the meaning,

"What?! What does that supposed to mean?! Sold you to him...how?!

"..."

Ellie was quiet, she wish they could understand these little words she broke down for them, she wish they should not talk about it further because as she's thinking about it, the tears were flowing out.

Naya is becoming frustrated due to her reaction, Ellie of all-female wolves has never shown this weak part of her, doing this to them is killing them badly and she's aware of that.

"Ellie, tell us everything!!!" Naya squealed, Nick hastily yank Naya backward, anger already occupying her.

Ellie got a sudden shock from her yell, instantly, she press both her hands against her head, it slants down in depression, her eyes closed while her lips parted to blab continuously without stopping,

"It was during antenatal that my mother was diagnosed with a deadly disease, the physician said to my father that his wife won't survive let alone her unborn child but they perform a magic portion to elongate her lifespan which can sustain her till labor and also prevent the disease from transferring to me,"

"But the magic portion Is too costly for my father to afford, is entire fortune can't pay it, he sought for help and a rich old man was willing to help, the magic was done to save me,"

"But after my birth, the man asked for a ransom and I was the ransom he wanted. My father kept this from me until I turned 20, the age ripen for me to foresee my mate, he told me the old man is my mate and that he is just a guardian to me."

"I knew my father won't have allowed it if the man stated his condition in the beginning, he always says to me I took after my mom in everything and he is thankful that I'm alive but he Is not happy either."

"We are helpless... Naya!"

Nick and Naya sit by the bed, it is indeed something they can't handle, they feel sober and stunned, "Was that why you did not foresee a mate?" Naya asked.

Ellie stares at her, did she listen to her at all? "What is the point of foreseeing a mate now?" She cries the more.

"Ellie, we only asked this so that we can help, if you foresee a mate, then, we can hook you up with him, explain things to him then maybe help can come through that,"

"You'd know the implication of this, your true mate will not foresee any other lady not until you die first... I believe he will never want any of these to happen either, therefore, he will be willing to help." Nick explained.

Ellie slant down her head, she whispers faintly, "I do foresee a mate Nick, but he's far up there to look down at me, and when he does..." She sobs more.

Naya move closer to her, if only she can just stop crying then they can reason together, her unending sob is not helping,

"Ellie, if that is hard for you to tell, then, we can inform His Majesty about it, he took you like a daughter too, he might pay your father's debt."

Ellie made a deaden smile as she turn to face Naya, "He never said he wanted money in return... What he wanted is me as his wife and he has been paying for my expenses since my birth... My father was just raising me for him."

Her response shuddered them, who on earth will want a child in ransom for money? Why did her father not ask for help from the King instead?

"Ellie, two lives are at stake now, your life and your mate's life. But your father should have sought help from the King instead of the old man."

"King?" Ellie chuckles,

"King!? She laughs dryly, "My father was just a mere guardian to the Vanaria eggs, no one values him even though he holds an important role in this kingdom, yet, he was treated as a slave Naya..."

"How can a slave like him be chanced to seek help from His Majesty?"

"Huh?!"
