Bab 16: Infiltrating Gen Palace
The Gen capital was suddenly attacked by Wyre troops led by Ming Sheng with Lyra on the fronts. Gen army retaliated from the fortress walls, led by General Zen.
Boom! Boom! A part of the fortress wall shattered already and Wyre infantry rushed inside. With loud cries, warriors collided and a carnage ensued.
"Kill! Kill your way through. Spare no one!" Lyra shouted as she jumped off her chariot and barge in. hundreds of Gen warriors came flooding to stop her advents.
Swoosh! She leapt at them and swung her fists around fiercely.
Bam! Bam! Bam! Men were sent flying, coughing blood. Some died from the punches, some died upon falling, some stayed alive but were too injured to get up again.
Swoosh! General Zen appeared before Lyra to stop her. He was wearing a black full body armour and carried a lance in his right arm.
But at once he paused and stared hard at Lyra. Lyra was almost nude in barely a metallic micro bikini which only covered her nipples and vagina. Everything else was bare for everyone to look at!
"Got you!" Lyra uttered as she appeared before Zen and hurled a punch at him. Zen barely managed to block it on his left forearm at the last moment.
Bam! He was pushed several feet away from the impact. There was a dent on his gauntlet.
"She's strong!" Zen exclaimed in his mind before putting all distracting thoughts aside and charged towards Lyra again. His lance was vibrating with the large amount of chi it held. Lyra also leapt at Zen with her right fist raised up.
Bam!! Lance struck the gauntlet fist and shockwaves rippled out, forcing everyone away.
"He's strong!" Lyra exclaimed in her mind before grinning and leaping at Zen again. The two of them tangled in a heated battle.

Meanwhile inside the palace Xiao, Deodomus and Kyle were stealthily moving around. They had fine support type techniques to be vigilant enough for the mission. Although initially Xiao had wanted to bring more people along, but then she agreed to Deodomus's suggestion that a group of experts is better than an army of greenhorns. The three of them were at Master realm. They were a whole realm above the entire Wyre battalion. Thus, they were confident in getting things done on their own. Weaker subordinates would only get in the way. So only these three snuck in to find the phoenix and steal its feather.
"Let's split up. The palace is big and we can hardly be harmed by anyone other than Master realm cultivators." Kyle suggested.
"Hmm we can cover more ground if we split. What do you say Xiao?" Deodomus asked.
"Fine. But once a threat appears or the phoenix itself, we must inform each other through the emergency token." Xiao said.
Emergency tokens were from a bygone era, just like the cursed contracts. These tokens however were plenty and humans knew the techniques to create them. They usually came in a pair or groups. If one token was crushed or burnt, the others would too and miraculously inform the wielders location of the firstly destroyed token/s.
"Very well. Let's go." Deodomus said and the three of them split in different directions.
Xiao moved stealthily, avoiding everyone. Along the way she frowned. Since earlier she had been feeling strange in her tummy. Xiao was a cultivator and hence had a strong immunity. Any disease or illness that could bother her would not be a simple one. As such, Xiao felt slight annoyance. She was unaware of the fact that she has actually been impregnated as back then her mind was cloudy due to extreme lust and pleasure. Technically, a female wouldn't learn of her pregnancy until a while later but Xiao was a cultivator, she quickly felt odd but still couldn't put a finger on it. She however decided to get herself checked by doctor Ming Sheng after this mission.
As for why Deodomus hadn't told Xiao about this yet, it was unknown. As for the other two, Ming and Kyle, they didn't tell Xiao yet either as it was none of their business and they were unaware that Deodomus hadn't broken it to Xiao yet.
Putting her mind back on the task at hand, Xiao moved from one corridor to another, passing by several rooms, halls and eventually found two soldiers carrying a long bundle of sorts. She hid in a corner, waiting for them to pass by and ended up overhearing their conversation.
"This was one gutsy lad though." One of the soldiers said. "He dared to approach Princess Yana."
"Yes, he perhaps truly was in love with her. Too bad, whoever involves with her romantically or sexually, ends up dead." The second soldier said.
"Hmm? Didn't he reveal his nefarious thoughts about her under the effect of our lord's technique? Why do you say he was in love with the princess?" The first soldier said.
"Heh. What do you know? One of the people who perished like this Luo brat, was my friend. He too was truly in love with princess Yana. But he was killed off by the assassins. I think our lord has some strange plans for princess. He wants to stop her from marrying anyone. Many of his techniques are focused around mind. He can toy with people and make any number of plots with ease." The second soldier said.
"Oh no. So Luo was correct? Lord Xong used some trick on him?" The first soldier gasped.
"Most likely, sigh. But what matter is it to us? We are mere soldiers who serve our lord. Fulfilling his command is our duty. Now hurry up. We must feed the beast every 5 hours or it'll go berserk." The second soldier said.
Then they went away, carrying the long bundle and leaving a dotted blood trail behind on the floor. Needless to say, it was Luo's corpse which was wrapped up in that bundle.
Xiao frowned having heard their conversation. When she heard the term 'beast' she wondered if they meant the 'phoenix'. As such, she followed after them silently.
The two soldiers moved into a room where there was a staired passageway going into a basement. Xiao stopped outside and waited in the dark while keeping her support technique active. She could faintly hear growls. Her heart bubbled, wondering if success was close at hand.
Soon the soldiers came out and left. They didn't have the bundle with them anymore. Xiao went downstairs and then smiled wearily. In front of her was a single long passageway with several soldiers standing on guard. Way behind them was a large platform in which a beast was chained up and chomping on Luo's corpse. There was no place for Xiao to hide. The soldiers had all already noticed her too.
"Intruder! Attack!" One of the soldiers shouted. Xiao sighed and shook her head, summoning a spear from spatial ring. These soldiers were all far beneath her. She decided to use them as moving dummy targets to practice her Death Spear technique.
Swoosh! Xiao leapt, meeting the incoming soldiers.
Clang! Clang! Clang! The spear collided with the swords and sabres.

Meanwhile in another portion of the palace Deodomus was sauntering openly without fear. He was in the uniform of an internal guard soldier whom he had knocked out and changed clothes with. His helmet covered his head & eyes & he didn't fear getting found out. This wasn't his first rodeo. Deodomus was a mercenary and had infiltrated numerous castles and places in different ways. He even had support technique to mimicking someone's voice. He was confident in duping everyone with it.
"Hickk! Idiot Luo! I hate him!" Suddenly Deodomus heard a girl cuss & sob. Using his support technique, he located the source. It was princess Yana who was crying and cursing inside her room. A pretty maid was trying to comfort her to no avail. Two guards stood outside her room and were constantly sighing, pitying their princess. This was a gloomy atmosphere but Deodomus found it amusing. He approached the princess's doors while spinning a web of believable lies in his mind.
Pa! The two guards saluted him crisply. At that point Deodomus realised that his uniform must belong to a high officer. Although Doeodmus had some intel on Gen palace and fortress, he didn't know everything. For example, how the ranks of the soldiers are signified through their uniforms.
"Captain, what brings you here?" One of the guards asked.
"Mmm, can't you tell?" Deodomus probed.
The two guards exchanged glances before sighing again.
"Princess' condition is not good. She's heart broken. And...she doesn't know Luo has been killed by the lord." A guard said, the last part in whispers.
"Sigh." Deodomus sighed dramatically. "Oh, poor our princess. So young, so fragile. The fate has been especially cruel on her."
"Indeed, captain. We are mere guards who can't provide her council." A guard said.
"Hmm, but someone must do it. This cannot go on. My heart aches for princess." Deodomus sighed again, looking towards the room as though he was peering through the golden door.
The two guards exchanged glances again, this time with complicated expressions.
"C-captain, you're someone we hold in great respect. You should not venture into the path that leads to certain death." One of the guards warned.
"Hmph, what use is this life if I remain a mere dog? A man should brave forward, fight obstacles, bring relief to those around him and comfort and care to those he love." Deodomus spouted bullshit. Ironically the two guards bought it.
"Sigh, since it's like this, we bid you good luck." The other guard said.
"Hmm, I'll approach the princess now." Deodomus said and entered the room.

Five minutes later princess Yana's lustful moans leaked out of the room.
"!!!" The two guards outside were dumbfounded!
"What skill!"
"What a man!"
"Pity, he'll be the next to die."
"At least he gets to pound a princess!"
The two guards conversed in excited whispers.
"Wait, what about the maid? Isn't she still inside?"
Immediately afterwards the maid's moans also leaked out.
"…" The two guards stood dumbfounded.

Inside the room Deodomus was ploughing Yana's vagina from behind rapidly. He was a strong man while Yana was a petite tender girl. She was easily defeated and beaten in bed. Deodomus was an experienced, cunning & depraved man. He easily wormed his way into princess's heart and clothes and fucked her outright. He was going to ask about the phoenix afterwards. But for now, he just wanted to enjoy a bit.

Meanwhile the battle outside had changed colours. Gen troops firmly pinned the ferocious Wyre troops. There were numerous traps inside the fortress. All infantry on the fronts was quickly injured and killed. The ones on the back hesitated and used long ranged techniques to attack while deducing the location of further traps.
"This is odd, those traps look freshly prepared." Ming Sheng thought as he scrutinized the situation from afar.
"It's as if Gen troops had learned about the attack beforehand and prepared these traps for us. But how can that be?" Ming wondered.
Meanwhile from atop a wall, an old spy observed the war.
"Sigh, that man Deodomus did not lie to me after all. His information was absolutely accurate. The number of Wyre soldiers, their ranks, their machinery, their leaders' combat styles…hmph. In exchange I had to tell him the safest spot to enter the fortress from & give him a vague overview of the palace. But even if he is inside, what harm can he do? Our lord already knows about his group's infiltration." This spy smirked. He was the same spy whom Deodomus had ambushed in the grassy field before war & struck a deal with. Turns out, he sold all details of Wyre troops in exchange of safest passageway inside and some more details. He had the spy's disciples as bargaining chips so he got his wish. But the spy didn't betray his lord entirely. He divulged everything and thus Gen lord Xong was prepared from Deodomus's infiltration as well. He was merely pretending to be unaware all this while and even his army had let Wyre troops barge in so easily, only to entrap them and counterattack at the right moment.
Of course, Deodomus wasn't an idiot. He was also well aware that his opponent was aware of him. But as to what countermeasures Deodomus had against Xong, it was still unknown. Deodomus was a cunning bastard and Xiao's safety was the only thing on his priority list. He easily & shamelessly sold away his allies for useful information.

Meanwhile Kyle ventured in deep and entered a suspicious dark hall.
"Took you long. Where are the others?" Xong asked and all the torches in the hall lit up as though magically.
"!!" Kyle jumped back and revved his chi to its fullest. He stared with wide eyes at the enemy Gen lord Xong.

Crang! Crang! Two tokens crashed at the same time.
"!!" Deodomus stood up in alarm. Both Kyle and Xiao were either in danger or had found the phoenix. But Deodomus was only one person. Where should he go first?
It was obvious. Deodomus sprinted towards Xiao's direction.
"Eh? Captain?" The two guards outside were stunned as they saw their 'captain' rushing away somewhere.
Then they both entered the room to make sure everything was okay. To their astonishment they found two defeated girls on the bed, each sprawled with legs spread and vaginas dribbling out semen. They had a silly smile on their lips and their eyes were rolling up.
"….." The two guards exchanged glances before shutting the door behind them and approaching the two girls- Yana and her maid.

Meanwhile an injured Xiao panted against a wall as she faced a ferocious phoenix! Yellow flames erupted from its mouth, engulfing Xiao's vision.
