This was a fact that he had chosen to accept, even if he hoped that he would meet them again by some magical means. He didn't want to get his hopes up, lest they be crushed by harsh reality.

It would seem that even though magical, the System's claim on land can be felt even by the natives. But I want to assure you that no harm will come to you, and as always, we will crush our enemies," Kingsley continued.

"Why does it seem that each time you type in this chat, it's always about some bad news?"

Seeing the new message replying to his own, Kingsley smiled. Now that he thought about it, it was true. He only typed or spoke in the group when he was about to deliver some news, and usually, it was what many would consider bad news.
