Bab 211: Wait for Me

There were gunshots and shouts of men fighting in the corridor in front of Delilah's apartment. She heard and breathed quickly. She looked right and left to think fast.

Delilah ran to one of the drawers and grabbed one of James's blades. Then she pulled it from its sheath to thrust it forward. With shaking hands, her eyes kept staring at the apartment's door. The noises grew louder, and Delilah became more frightened. But she was ready to face the risk until his eyes saw the closet.

She remembered what James had said before he left. Delilah wasted no time running to the side of the wardrobe and closed the door. She would wait inside until James came.

Bram and a few of the remaining Golden Dragon members were taking out all the wives and spouses of The Seven Wolves into a room. It had prepared that in case of an emergency.
