Bab 266: Buying Time

Long Fei returned to find Su Ruan again while she was chatting with his mother about the town. Seeing that his girlfriend was a little tired, he brought her back to his courtyard to rest.

"Stay here for a while," Long Fei said. "We'll go and have dinner in town. Then, I'll send you back to your place, hmm?"

Looking into Long Fei's eyes, Su Ruan had a hard time saying no. She pondered over his suggestion and finally nodded. "I'll tell my mother I'll come home a little late."

Long Fei's expression changed as he watched Su Ruan turn around to call her mother. Then, he lowered his gaze, hoping that the girl would not notice his eyes.

He still did not know how Su Ruan was going to react once he told her about his family. He realized that he was a little greedy and selfish. Therefore, he wanted to keep her by his side for a while longer.

Then, before he sends her back, he would tell her the truth.
