The opposing werewolf snorted, watching the witch give up her ghost. Good riddance to rubbish. He thought, reaching out to his second in command through the mind link. He frowned deeply as he got no response. The latter was his best friend. He hoped that he wasn't dead. He tried reaching him again, but failed, startled to his feet when he heard a loud bang. 

What is that? He thought, remembering that he was right in the middle of a warfare, and worse, he was outnumbered.

No, he couldn't die this way. His father definitely won't be concerned-yes, but won't be proved to be right either. He had something to prove to his father.

His eyes caught Derek who was cowering before Anthony. The blue orb, whatever it was, was working. No, he couldn't let that happen.
