Drew had gotten in way over his head. He said he wasn't going anywhere and hadn't. For two whole months!
What was he even doing? He could be at home right now!
But he wasn't. He was here taking care of the cat who possessed his body's owner because he liked her and thought she deserved better. He finally found someone he was sincerely interested in instead of just going with the flow like he had with all of his past girlfriends and he had to pretend to be a cat to spend any time with her!
It was humiliating and exhausting trying to pretend to be someone else. If he hadn't lost his mind, he would have given up and gone home already for more than just a change of clothes.
It wasn't all bad though. He was actually having fun for the first time in years. Mila was a fairly lively person and she kept him laughing. He couldn't even remember the last time he laughed before meeting her. It didn't happen often.
Or it hadn't. Now it was a regular occurrence.
